An Appeal
I direct this appeal of mine to all those with a living conscience to assist the Ozrei
Dalim Society on the occasion of Passover to provide unleavened bread and other needs for the poor.
High prices and increasing poverty make the mission of the Society in these difficult
circumstances extremely arduous; it therefore awaits the resolve, assistance, and zeal of the honorable members of the community
to accomplish this great charitable project. The Society is aware of the stagnation that has affected the work
⟦...⟧ portion of the zealous who supported it in the past due to current circumstances, but despite
that, I direct this appeal to them to contribute to this humanitarian work, praying to the Almighty to
bestow upon them success and prosperity.
The Society will be deeply grateful if the honorable donors would kindly send
whatever their hands may offer directly to it, given that the Society will not be able to contact all
the zealous gentlemen due to time constraints and the magnitude of the duty placed upon its shoulders.
Our hope is firm that the honorable public appreciates the Society's efforts and will support it,
and God is the granter of success.

To all our brothers, people of zeal and generosity
The esteemed Ministry of Interior has authorized the formation of the (Ozre Dalim) Society for Helping the Poor, which is
the association that has now been reconstituted and which had performed glorious deeds a few years ago. As
understood from the title, the purpose of the association is to help the miserable poor among the members of our community, especially those betrayed
by time and who have become in need of bread while refraining from extending their hand for begging. We have known many respectable
families who have fallen into the hardships of need, yet they try to hide their poverty; these are those called
( Humble homeowners )
Brothers. There are among the miserable needy those who have not obtained their sustenance of bread alone, let alone what
they need on Saturdays and holidays, and among them are those who cover themselves on freezing winter nights with worn-out rags
etc...
The sentiment of humanity and human chivalry dictates helping these miserable people, and charity is a
great charitable act rewarded by the Creator Almighty, it fends off calamities and wards off hardships. Therefore, we come to appeal to you
to hasten to participate in the work of the association according to what your zeal permits, and God rewards the benefactors.

I address this appeal, as is the custom followed in previous years, to all our honorable brothers with
living consciences to assist the Ozre Dalim Association on the occasion of Passover to provide unleavened bread for the poor.
The difficulties faced by the association in performing this humanitarian duty are not hidden from you, and it therefore
awaits the energy, assistance, and zeal of the honorable members of the community to complete this great charitable project.
The sums needed by the association this year exceed what was spent in previous years,
and the association will be extremely grateful if the honorable donors would kindly send what their hands offer
directly to one of its members, given that the association will not be able to contact all the zealous gentlemen
due to lack of time and the magnitude of the duty placed upon its shoulders.
Our hope is firm that the honorable public appreciates the association's efforts and supports it, and God is the Granter of success.

A statement to the honorable members of the community
It is no secret to the honorable members of the community what the poor and needy are suffering
of severe torment as a result of the unprecedented cold wave
in addition to the heavy rains that lasted for weeks; and therefore
the leadership of the community decided that the Ozer Dalim Society shall accept
donations for the purpose of providing the poor with blankets to protect them from the harsh cold
and it has indeed already begun purchasing the blankets in order to distribute them without
delay; so we urge our brothers to donate for this noble cause
we also request the honorable merchants, doctors, lawyers, and all other
professionals, as well as housewives, and male and female students
to personally ensure the delivery of their donations to the aforementioned society.

An Appeal
We address this appeal, as is the custom in previous years, to all our honorable brothers among the members of the community who possess zeal
and human sentiment, requesting assistance for the (Ozre Dalim) Society to provide unleavened bread and rice for the poor and needy on the occasion of
the upcoming Passover holiday.
The increase in the rate of unemployment and poverty among the members of the community will, as is not hidden from you, make the mission of the Society double and very
difficult in these trying circumstances. While the community appreciates its jealous sons for the assistance they provided in past seasons
due to their protective nature and concern for the poor classes, it simultaneously rouses their high ambitions to double their aid this year
to complete this great charitable project. We pray to the Almighty to grant them success in their deeds and lead them toward all
that is good and blessed.
We shall be extremely grateful if the honorable donors would kindly send what their hands generously offer in donations to
the aforementioned Society directly, or deliver them to the collector Mr. Sion Abed Cohen, who is authorized to receive cash donations against receipts
signed by the Society, given that it is not possible for the Society to contact all honorable individuals directly due to the magnitude of the duty
placed upon its shoulders.
Our hope is firm that the honorable public will appreciate the monumental effort this Society has made to alleviate the woes of
the poor class, and God does not waste the reward of those who do good.
