Upon inspecting the mentioned synagogue and matching it with its specific Tabu (land registry) deed, it appeared that this synagogue is registered in the name of the woman named Rima bint Haskel in the year 1303. It was found that the mentioned synagogue has been named after Farha Ezra Aziz, wife of Yusuf Hayim Haskel Sassoon, since the year 5644, as shown by the marble plaque attached to the synagogue wall. In order to establish the ownership of this synagogue in the name of the Israelite community, this committee wishes to contact the heirs of Rima Haskel, if any exist, so that the synagogue can be endowed (waqf) in the name of the community.
