Respected Member of the Al-Jassar Council delegated to manage Mar Elias Hospital,
After greetings,
I received your letter numbered 7/24/57 and dated ⟦...⟧
I noted from it that you specified 8/1/57 as the day of my separation,
as mentioned above, while I specified 7/31/57 as the appointment of a doctor
to perform my duties from 8 PM to 8 AM,
and thus my resignation is accepted on the specified date,
i.e. (7/31/57). I ask you for a successor for me because I desired to
resign from both the morning and night duties, and I
continued in this manner until the Council decided on this resignation
on 7/24/57, and therefore I am entitled to daily wages
for the following period and my start date for one day on
7/17/57. With great respect,
Doctor
Yousef Qattan
Note:
It is the doctor's duty to divide the day 8/1/57, whether
by work or otherwise, according to the rumor of our action for the period he specified
on 7/10/57. Since the manager had overlooked
7/29/57, the period in which he is occupied in the totality
of his official duties after his announcement of any harm to his arrangement, and
he should have refrained from resigning on 8/1/57. This is understood.

The Honorable Committee of the Managing Director for Hospital Affairs
Greetings,
I was honored to receive your letter numbered 41/2 dated 4 / 8 / 946
regarding the assignment of Dr. Mish'al's duties in addition to my own duties in
this hospital, which was on a temporary basis and in my capacity
as a resident physician in place of Dr. Mish'al. I have not previously received
the allowances that you decided to grant me, bearing in mind that the daily
workload and the duties of the aforementioned doctor, meaning day and night in this hospital
without any rest, whether daily or weekly, and I do not enjoy the usual
weekly leaves that must be granted to doctors, and this does not exist
in all hospitals, for a resident doctor to perform the work of two doctors.
I add to that that my private clinic has been completely abandoned
at the present time due to the importance of my clients, and in view of its closure, the clients
have gone to visit other clinics. I inform you that the aforementioned clinic costs me
exorbitant expenses such as rent, electricity, water, servants, security, and telephone
and the like, and this is a great financial loss regarding my situation.
As you know, I stay up day and night treating patients and perform all
the difficult tasks that are the duty of the operations and the analysis room, and that the nocturnal
state, and I have not rested neither day nor night since the night, as I have
noticed from what was mentioned above that my wages have ceased in this hospital.
