Revocation of Iraqi citizenship for Jews who attempted to flee
Security authorities at the borders had previously arrested (46) Jews
who were attempting to flee Iraq, and referred them to the competent departments to take
legal measures against them.
Al-Umma has learned that the Council of Ministers, upon reviewing the letters received
from the competent departments regarding these individuals, decided to revoke their Iraqi citizenship.
The Council also decided to revoke Iraqi citizenship for (164) Jews from among those
who submitted applications to have their citizenship revoked.

Were it not for the fact that I noticed in what the writers published
a confusion that is almost a new type
of handling historical subjects
.
What is indisputable is that Mustafa
Jahan, or in a phrase closer to
[the truth], had two views for which he was known and followed throughout
following them. The two directions, based on what
his production in the years he rode
the Turkish administration, were emanating
from his own [vision], meaning that his faith
in them pushed him to be
[bold] in application.
The first direction revolves - politically -
around liberating Turkey completely
without [doubt] or ambiguity, and rejecting relations
that would hinder the progress of the Turkish nation
towards sovereignty and prosperity, with the countries
that were sharing the style of the "Sick Man".
.
Mustafa Kemal succeeded in his policy
with brilliant success, which called upon
the world and its historians to record
the list of the unique figures of the present age.
As for the second direction, it made its way
[to transform] the Muslim Turkish society into a society
[like] European societies, so he performed
the well-known acts that extended
to Islam and prevented its radiance from it
[separating] the Turkish people from every symbol
of the Sharia of Muhammad bin Abdullah (PBUH).
Here the road is completely cut off for
[those who] defend the Father of the Turks,
[and those] who attack him from this path
[an] Islamic [attack] imposed on them by faith.
And were it not for the fact that Pahlavi was an imitator of this
view and complimentary - in the words of some
Persian politicians - we would have seen the second example
of examples of turning against the Sharia taking
its place in the land of the Caesars.
In any case, what I want to say in
this haste is that whoever wishes to undertake
writing about the personality of Mustafa Kemal
only has to give the aspects of his manhood
the deserved amount of care and success
because if the man failed in his social endeavor
this failure should not overshadow
the shrewdness and knowledge he showed in the fields
of other reforms.
Also, the opinion saying that the Turkish people
have returned to the fold of religion anew and that
they will cast off the cloak of irreligion from their body
at the earliest time, its share of truth, if not
zero, then it neither nourishes nor satisfies
hunger because the generation that grew up in
an environment where they denounced the word Islam and forbade
people from performing its rituals, a specific behavior
was fixed in its mind which in itself is not bound
by an opinion nor revolves around a reasonable face.
And he who contemplates the saying of the speaker:
If you straighten the branches, they will become straight
But they do not soften if they are made of wood
finds that the problem is complex to a degree
that can only be solved by a general intellectual revolution surging
from the ancient lands of Islam, so these
countries are equipped with a campaign of those with religious
talents and Islamic competencies so that
these people undertake the task of adorning ideas and purifying
souls from the impurities of false modern
civilization that have clung to them.

Reasons for High Prices
As described by an expert
And as explained by His Excellency the Director General of Imports
Deportation of an Iranian Jew
From Basra
The administrative authorities in Basra have decided
to deport the individual named Naeem Mashallah, who is
an Iranian Jew, from Basra because his residency
is undesirable in Iraq as it appeared
that his behavior is not good.
Four Jewish Convoys
Leave Basra in One Week
We have learned that the department entrusted with the task of
registering the names of Jews wishing to renounce
their Iraqi citizenship among the Jews of Basra,
and processing their transactions for their deportation to Cyprus,
has completed the transactions of many of these individuals.
We have understood that four Jewish convoys
will leave Basra by air to
Cyprus during the coming week.
A writer had sent this newspaper a lengthy statement in which he addressed the causes of
high prices and restricted the responsibility to the Directorate of Imported Funds, accusing it of restricting
the import of woolen materials and newsprint to a specific group of lucky merchants.
We hesitated in publishing the statement and contacted one of the major merchants and showed him
this statement, and he denied everything mentioned in it and said:
The General Directorate of Imports has never rejected a request submitted to it at all and has granted
licenses to many of those interested, but the reason for this rise is the rise of funds
in their production sites; for example, a yard of woolen cloth in London is 59 shillings, which
is equivalent to three dinars, and if we add the customs duty of 30 percent, we find the price per yard
is four dinars and change, and the same applies to the rest of the materials, all of which are in this manner.
The merchant went on to say: The Directorate of Imported Funds gave every person their
due right, and therefore it is no longer in the power of occasional importers to sell their licenses for more
than one percent, and there are still licenses amounting to ten million dinars
whose owners have not been able to bring in goods with them, and the era of exploitation and trading
in licenses has passed and gone.
We contacted His Excellency the Director General of Imports and sought his opinion on the cause
of this exorbitant rise, and he confirmed to us the reasons explained to us by the respected merchant,
and stated that the Directorate has never obstructed the case of an importer at all. He added regarding the rise of
newsprint that its cause is the rise of this material in its original location, and that the Directorate is serious about
alleviating this hardship through effective means. Then he spoke about the rumor regarding the restriction of
importing to a specific class and refuted it in an indisputable manner. The number of
importers has reached thousands after they were in the dozens and hundreds, and there remained
amounts that were not imported due to the inability and lack of experience of their owners and their rights in selling the licenses
belonging to them. Had the Directorate stood in their way, they would have raised an immense outcry,
but the leniency of the Directorate put an end to this exploitation. His Excellency said that among
the measures taken by the Directorate of Imported Funds is the prohibition of importing materials already available
in Iraq, such as shoes, luxury items, and things that are difficult for the
middle and lower classes to purchase, and it reduced the massive quantities related to the
aforementioned materials due to Iraq's lack of need for them, in order to preserve for Iraq a wealth that was on the verge
of vanishing.
We say that everything mentioned in these statements is beyond reproach, and if
Jewish hands were playing in the markets as they played their roles in previous
eras, we would not have seen the market maintain its calm and tranquility, as a large
portion of Jewish merchants are still sequestered in their ivory towers and have frozen their fortunes
thinking that such freezing affects the market and that consumers will miss them,
but their exit from the markets had the best impact on the country, considering what
they are famous for in terms of risks and speculation without keeping a line for retreat or
placing weight on their commercial honor. If we want to take a look at the market,
we do not find it threatened by stifling crises except for limited goods that do not affect the
average population. Added to this is that national woolen products
still maintain their level, and their owners did not exploit this crisis, such as the factories of
Fattah Pasha and Saleh Ibrahim and other small factories related to other materials.
If Iraqis had followed a reasonable path, they would have found themselves in no need of many
materials imported from abroad; perhaps people will use logic and turn to
their national products.

Jewish "Law of the Jungle"
Denies the truth and lies to history!
By Salman al-Safwani
⟦line⟧
We would not have concerned ourselves with the Jewish message, were it not that Jewish propaganda has poured
into it, and were it not that this propaganda is stuffed with fallacies and falsehoods, and lies against
truth and history. Their messages to us before were met with nothing but the wastebasket,
and here is another side of it. The Jews said in their message to us:
«History runs according to laws in which there is no doubt, established by nature
and produced by it, including its eternal law: (Inability negates right). This law to which
your Arab ancestors submitted much, in their long history, sometimes winning and sometimes losing
compelled, knowing that their situation in Palestine recently was less harsh, as they retained
the right to life, whereas in the past more than once they lost even this
first right, in more than one homeland. - And other peoples, nations, and tribes submitted
to this law without repeating a complaint.. »
Among the fallacies in this statement is their claim that history is made by nature
and produced by it, to derive from that claim an eternal law, which is that (Inability negates
right!) while "even street children" know that history is man-made
and is the record of his deeds. And that man who struggled with nature - and subjected it to his will -
the first thing he thought of was to eliminate the (law of the jungle) represented in their saying (Inability
negates right) so that man could distinguish himself from the mute animal, so he established constitutions
and international organizations approved (human rights) to put an end to aggression!
And if we go along with the Jews in this logic of theirs, what will they answer if we ask them
about the right they used as a pretext to demand Palestine and invade it? Were they not
homeless all over the world for long centuries, and was their displacement not evidence of (their inability which
negated their right) in what they claimed, so why did they not submit "to this law without repeating
a complaint"? As they asked of us, and why did they make the (Wailing Wall) a shirt of Uthman wailing
around it their luck, and inciting their gangs with it?!
And even if (Inability negates right), must the Arabs remain unable
forever? And why must they submit to the Jewish (law of the jungle!), unlike
all other nations and peoples? No one claims this and says it, except one who is afflicted
with "intellectual blindness"!
Then who told you - O assembly of scum - that our Arab ancestors submitted
to the law of the jungle for long, before Islam or after it? As for before Islam, they had
their states and their status in the north, center, and south, in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq. And
history did not mention that the relationship of the Romans and Persians with the Arabs was more than the relationship of Britain
- the creator of the Jews - with the Arab governments today, and yet the Arab renaissance in the
era of the Message put an end even to that relationship, and the glory of the Arabs shone in the East and West in
less than a quarter of a century. As for the Ottoman era, the Arabs, Ottomans, and others
formed one empire, meaning we were their partners in government and responsibility,
and yet the Arabs revolted their Great Revolt against the Ottoman Empire to increase
freedom and independence.
And it is not true what they claimed that the Arabs "lost the first right to life, in
more than one homeland in the past" "and that their situation in Palestine recently was less harsh!"
In which homeland did the Arabs lose the first right to life? And is there any basis for comparison between
Andalusia, if it is what is meant by this reference - and Palestine located in the
heart of the Arab world, connecting its two wings in Asia and Africa? And how was
the situation in Palestine less harsh as you claim? While in all parts of the Arab countries there are a million
displaced Arabs of women, children, and the elderly being ravaged by hunger, cold, nakedness,
fear, poverty, and disease! Besides the thousands of unarmed who were killed in cold blood in groups
and the wells of Deir Yassin and other villages of Palestine were filled with them! And besides the pregnant women whose
bellies were ripped open, and the virgins whose honor was violated, and the children who were slaughtered in
their mothers' laps, and the elders who were subjected to colors of torture and humiliation? Is this
what you favor us with by retaining the right to life?!
"Inability negates right" this is the Jewish "law of the jungle" with which their
teachings overflowed, and their generations followed, and by this aggressive principle they hope
to seize the Arab countries from the mouth of the Nile to the mouth of the Euphrates. They know
no religion other than aggression, and no means other than treachery, and this certain danger is what
calls us to shout in the faces of our Arab people morning and evening to alert the heedless,
and wake the sleeper. Their call for peace in Palestine, and their pretense of desire for
reconciliation with the Arabs, is nothing but hypocrisy, lies, and deception, until their affairs are settled, then they will pounce
on the Arab world. And Palestine - O assembly of Arabs - is nothing but a bridgehead for them
from which they leap to the rest of the Arab countries, as it is among the primary axioms: that small
Palestine does not accommodate the Jews geographically or economically, so why are they crowding into it then?
If their purpose is not to pounce on the Arab world, as long as the "law of the jungle"
is the "Mother of the Book"!
Open your eyes, O Arabs, before you open them to tragedies and disasters!

800 Jewish Employees
Expected revocation of their Iraqi citizenship
It was reported that the Council of Ministers will consider during this week large lists including
a not insignificant number of Jewish employees in official departments who requested the revocation of
their citizenships; the number of persons in these lists is approximately (800) names whose matter
will be decided during this week. It is expected after the approval of these revocation requests
is issued, that the various departments will decide on the matter of discharging these employees and replacing

The remainder of the return to religion and the revival of its teachings
Alongside these efforts, official efforts arose,
even if they were not related to religion,
yet they connect to religion from other aspects.
Among these are some bodies branching from
the United Nations, such as the
Economic and Social Council, which recently convened
in Geneva, and one of the most important topics
included in its agenda was the study of
the subject of forced labor. It is a satanic innovation
invented by the Nazis and inherited from them by
the Communists, and the credit for raising
this issue goes to the representative of the United Kingdom
who presented to the Council evidence supported by proofs
and reinforced by official documents regarding the degradation
of Russia - and the communist countries in general -
in exploiting the rights of status in
using what they termed
«reformative educational labor» as a means
to punish everyone they are angry with. And what
is this «reformative educational labor»
other than hard labor in its most hideous forms
which is devoid of the simplest rules
of humanity.
Communism realized from its inception
that a person's adherence to his religion creates many
difficulties and obstacles in the path that
it drew for itself, so the first thing it cared
about was resisting religious teachings and beliefs
deep-seated in the souls of the Russians.. until
it saw that it had no power over that, it resorted to
arbitrariness and imposed the strictest restrictions on
religious bodies and organizations and pressured
the performance of rituals into the narrowest possible scope..
rather, it resorted in some areas of the Soviet Union
to preventing the performance of religious rituals
and to closing mosques and churches..
but it failed to do so in the areas
where ancient tribes reside, clinging
to their beliefs and culture.. as happened in
the republics and states inhabited by
the Muslim Tatar, Mongol, and Turkmen tribes,
and the people of these tribes were known for the strength
of their adherence to their religion.
Among the examples of restrictions imposed by the government
of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic,
is what appeared in Article 353 of
the collection of laws No. 35, issued in
April 1929:
17- It is forbidden for religious bodies and organizations:
(a) To collect subscriptions for mutual aid, or establish cooperative funds
or establish producers' unions, and in
general, it is forbidden for them to use anything they
own for purposes beyond necessary religious needs.
(b) To provide their members with material aid.
(c) To organize special prayers,
or meetings for children, youth, or
women. Or to organize meetings or
circles, or classes to instill the teachings of religion
by reading religious or
literary books, or during vocational and professional education.
Likewise, it is forbidden to establish entertainment venues, or children's
playgrounds, or open libraries or
reading rooms, or organize sanatoriums
or medical aid. It is not permitted to keep
books in buildings designated for prayer, except
those necessary for the practice of rituals.
18- It is not permitted to teach any religious doctrine
in state, social, or private educational institutes.
It is permissible to allow the organization of spiritual studies if
the responsible authorities or the Central Executive Committee
in the autonomous republics agree.»
As the fever of exploiting «educational labor» intensified for the Russian authorities - which is
the name they usurped for forced labor -
to serve its economic and political purposes
until it became forced labor and enslavement, it resorted
to pouring its wrath upon the heads of the followers
of beliefs and religions. It was stated in Article
122 of Chapter Four of the Penal Code
issued by the Minister of Justice
of the government of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic
in the year 1948 - which is
an example article adopted by the rest of the republics
of the Soviet Union and the communist countries.

People differ in all their classes in their morals, natures, temperaments, and social
positions. Among them are the righteous and the wicked, the harsh and the bad, the flexible and the rigid.
Among them are those of high status from the people of virtue, and among them are those in the lowest depths
of the classes of the people, and they are the people of vice. Some are distinguished from others by these
qualities. A person may catch your attention more than others, and this person becomes
the subject of talk in councils, clubs, and even cafes, where they speak of him according to the descriptions he
is characterized by and the natures he is imprinted with.
However, this attention and notice of yours is not accidental or without precedent; there must be
a feature that distinguishes him from others. Often, people of the same age and the same
class and at the same level of culture gather, and suddenly one of them stands out among them and you feel
his presence and he grows in your eyes, while others are like zeros on the left.
You also often lean towards one of your companions or hate him or fear him for a reason that may be
hidden from you, so you do not know its essence or cannot explain the hidden factor behind this
inclination. All there is to it is that you feel he is a person different from others and deserves what he has stirred
in your soul of love, hatred, or fear.
This type of human being is the lucky ones, and they are called in the custom of the present generation
(people of personality). It is not necessary for the lucky one or the person of
personality to be influential, feared, abundantly wealthy, or in a high position. Just as the
lucky one can be an individual, the lucky ones can be a nation among nations, a people among
peoples, or a sect among sects. Among the lucky sects is the Israeli sect.
Despite the consensus of the Arab countries on Israel's aggression, it has become established for the
vengeful gang, or what some express as the alleged state of Israel, to consider the Jews of
the world as subjects of that illegitimate state, and that the war that took place between that gang and the countries
of the Arab League was the best evidence of aggression and the emergence of a spirit of rebellion against the owners
of the legitimate right. The United Nations imposed its will on the countries of the Arab League
and forced them to approve the truce at the time when this organization began to extend a helping hand to
the remnants of the horizons.
This sect had the same favor from the government of Iraq. Although the Arab
countries decided to take precautions in resisting this aggression and eliminating the usurper, and
among the precautions taken by the Arab countries was considering the Jews in all their lands as a fifth
column that must be resisted and eliminated by all possible means, without the Arab countries
excluding any of the Jews.
Despite this, the Jews of Iraq were more favored than others of their malicious element.
Perhaps His Excellency Mr. Salih Jabr and the Excellencies and Honors who were in the session of
Parliament were the first who were generous (with their Hatem-like generosity) by enacting the law of stripping
citizenship from the Jews of Iraq and paving the way for those of them who wish to leave Iraq of their own free will.
The Jews of Iraq were the first Jews to obtain prestigious privileges that were not obtained
by any of the sons of Iraq, as the sisterly Arab countries, including dear Egypt
with its ancient entity and old civilization, had set specific rules according to which
the actions of the Jews were determined and their activities restricted without oppressing anyone or granting them any privilege.
Likewise, the favor of the Jewish employees in the railways was more than others
among the employees of Iraqi departments. The responsible official in the Railway Directorate defended them
following the request of the Ministry of Works and Communications for him to state the names of those who signed
the desire forms to leave Iraq to cancel their records and remove them from their jobs and replace them
with the righteous sons of Iraq, by answering the aforementioned ministry that following this
plan by the government causes confusion and he cannot fulfill the request of the Ministry of
Works and Communications. Thus, the responsible official prevented the desire of the ministry
with his paralyzed logic.
We do not know how the spirit of jealousy and defense of this group was generated. It was said
to us that the legislation was improvised, just as it was said to us that the intention of this legislation was to confuse the situation
in Israel, nor was the intention anything but enrichment and obtaining personal benefits and providing
assistance to some of those who lack material means. We do not see in this legislation nor in the policy of
the government in deporting the Jews and getting rid of them in a collective manner and cutting their relationship with the Iraqis
any interest, except for their own private interest.

and international at least - in a state of war

The Jews, whose number does not exceed
one hundred and fifty thousand throughout the length
and breadth of Iraq, have been able under various circumstances
and conditions to control the country's facilities
and manage its affairs according to
the requirements of their interests. The influential
politicians counted on this country have enabled them
to achieve what they seek... until
their collective presence has become a danger threatening
Iraq with the worst consequences, while there remained
among us until the recent past those
who raised their voices in defense of these people who
denied the right of citizenship and rejected the blessing
of shelter, under the pretext that they are Iraqis who have
the same rights as Iraqis and the same
duties!
We have demanded the removal of these elements
from Iraq by force after their properties
are confiscated, similar to what Israel did with
the people of Palestine... but our call went
with the wind!
Today, as the government faces this
unique situation into which it was thrust by the policy
of improvisation and drifting into fulfilling the desires
of the Jews... the public opinion waits with great
impatience for the government to adopt a new approach
and follow a firm plan, deciding:
First - Revoking the citizenship of all
Jews residing in Iraq.
Second - Confiscating all properties
and wealth belonging to them.
Third - Establishing detention camps
where they are held under strict supervision until
their deportation takes place.
We hope - if the government does not
possess even the weakest of faith in this critical
stage that Iraq is going through - that it decides
immediately to detain the eighty thousand
"Israelis" who are capable of
wreaking havoc in the country overnight,
in camps established far from the cities...
taking into account what the continued
freedom of these eighty thousand could
leave as an impact on public life and on
internal security... in addition to what
is expected to stir up in the depths of public opinion!
A hint is sufficient for the wise!

His Excellency, the Respected President of the Bodily Council.
Greetings and respect, further to what I know of your Excellency's noble character and support for your employees,
it has encouraged me to write to your Excellency the following:
The respected Council entrusted me with the bookkeeping of the Midrash in exchange for a monthly allowance of forty rupees, and since a
person must protect his efforts from going without significant benefit, I submit this petition of mine, explaining to your Excellency
that the mentioned salary is not proportionate to the labor I exert in performing this duty, the duty of managing the bookkeeping of
the Midrash administration.
I wish to point out to the respected Council the ledgers that I must manage in the aforementioned school,
which are:
Draft ledger, daily ledger, general ledger of debts, debt ledger for Muslims, expenses and
revenues ledger, and the property ledger.
All of this demonstrates the importance of the bookkeeping that I am currently performing for an allocation of forty rupees,
while the clerk who was recording them previously used to receive a monthly salary of two hundred rupees.
I had sincerely hoped not to demand such an increase from your Excellency, but rather to leave that
to the estimation of my diligence over time; however, the financial hardship currently gripping us, especially as I am the head of a large family
as everyone knows, forced me to submit this petition, asking your Excellency to look into this matter
with favor, explaining to the venerable Council that the situation and the labor exerted merit an allocation that should not
be forty rupees.
I have firm hope that you and the honorable members of the Council will look upon my matter with kindness.
To your Excellency, my great thanks in advance,
and increased respect in any case.
Sincerely,
⟦Yosef Levi⟧
