Progress of the Jewish Deportation Process
90,000 have registered so far
What is the situation after two months?
Only two months remain of the period prescribed by the law for revoking
citizenship from Jews who wish to
leave Iraq permanently. So far, more than ninety thousand
Jews have requested the revocation of their citizenship, including
six thousand five hundred in Basra and more
than eighty-five thousand in Baghdad and the rest of
the Iraqi provinces. 2,531 have traveled from Basra,
which is approximately 40 percent
of the Jews whose citizenship was revoked.
From Baghdad and the other provinces, until
the day before yesterday, twenty thousand nine hundred
and forty-one have traveled, which is about 25 percent
of the Jews whose citizenship was revoked.
The number of Jews whose citizenship was revoked
in Basra was separated from the rest of the Iraqi
provinces because the deportation process in Basra
has special arrangements for transport and deportation, and there is
a plane that transports the Jews of Basra only to Cyprus.
As for the Jews of the other provinces, they come to Baghdad
where their deportation is organized.
The committee entrusted with organizing the
deportation is concerned with the Jews of the northern provinces to deport them
before others, because they cannot be delayed
in their locations due to being cut off from Baghdad
during the winter season, and because their stay in Baghdad
causes great difficulties; out of three
thousand six hundred who traveled during the past
month, only four hundred traveled from Baghdad
and the rest were from other provinces, especially from
the Jews of the North.
Deportation is currently taking place at a rate of one
plane carrying about one hundred and twenty people
daily, except for Fridays, and in the event of improved
weather, the plane can make two trips
daily. There is no other plane for transport,
but only one, and this same plane
transports the Jews of Basra on the day
it does not transport anyone from Baghdad. From this
it is clear that it is not possible for more than five
thousand people to travel during the next
two months. Thus, the number of those
who will leave Iraq permanently from the Jews
whose citizenship was revoked during the period of the law's
validity will not exceed thirty thousand. The government
has not yet taken any decision regarding the rest of
the Jews whose citizenship was revoked or those
whose citizenship revocation transactions are still
ongoing when the term of the law ends,
which is one year ending on the ninth of next March.

Denial of News
We received this news from the Arab Ba'ath Club
as follows:
Al-Sijill newspaper published in its issue issued
on 12-13-1950 a word about the cinematic
party held by the Arab Ba'ath Club at
three-thirty in the afternoon on
Monday, 12-11-1950, and it
was stated in Al-Sijill's word that "licentiousness was manifested
in this party in its finest forms, and that
the glory of Arabism is not built with such dancing
parties."
Journalistic duty requires the newspaper
to verify the news before getting involved in publishing it
and the truth of the party that Al-Sijill described as
"licentious and dancing" is that it was limited to
showing a cinematic film of Shakespeare's famous play
(Hamlet), which is one of the masterpieces of world literature.
Mr. Aziz Ali also volunteered to perform a number of
his well-known national and social monologues.

Smuggled Jews
Remainder of page ⟦...⟧ in Kifri
The police in (Kifri) arrested seventeen
Jews who were trying to escape to
Iran and from there to Israel, of course, and among
those arrested was one of the members of
the gang engaged in smuggling for a person named (Albert).
A person arriving from Kifri stated that
the police there continued the investigation to reach
the identity of the heads of the criminal gang
engaged in this "smuggling," and therefore we hope
that the responsible authorities succeed in reaching
a decisive result in this matter as long as they have
caught the tip of the thread. We also demand
the Kirkuk Governorate Police Directorate to enlighten public
opinion on the outcome of the case of those arrested
to confirm that the government is vigilant in maintaining
the law and that it will not be lenient against those who violate
its sanctity.
Say your word and move on
Fight this crime!!
Elsewhere in this issue, the reader will find a local news item about the smuggling of Jews
and the arrest of seventeen smuggled Jews in Kifri. We felt it our duty
on this occasion to draw the attention of the responsible authorities to the necessity of doubling interest and vigilance
to stop this overt crime ⟦...⟧ given the serious damages it entails,
the most important of which is facilitating the escape of persons indebted to the government and the loss of treasury rights
in vain, or the loss of the rights of people who have debts owed by some Jews.
The authorities specialized in deporting Jews by planes have adopted a straight path to preserve
these rights, and they will not hesitate to prevent the travel of Jews who owe a debt to someone
or if there are other reasons that require preventing their delay from traveling. As for the smuggling which
was ongoing on a large scale in some previous eras, it was a factor in depriving
the government and the people of huge sums of money owed by the smuggled Jews. Therefore, the time
has come to recover these lost rights from the smugglers themselves after reaching
knowledge of them through those recently arrested in Kifri.
We have great confidence in the law and order, and therefore we hope that the security
departments succeed in stabilizing the pillars of order in the country and making the sanctity
and holiness of the law above every consideration, by conducting a meticulous investigation with those recently
arrested in Kifri to find out the names of the criminals working to smuggle them and those assisting them,
because these criminals are directly responsible for compensating the governmental
and private rights lost by the smuggling of Jews, and this compensation must be fair and strict,
sufficient to deter others from practicing this dirty criminal trade.
We will return to the subject in detail in a future issue in light of what we receive
from our correspondents in Kifri regarding the Jews arrested there. So, until the coming issues.

The General Offensive
A statement was issued by the headquarters of the Eighth
U.S. Army in Korea this afternoon
stating that (200) thousand men from
the Chinese and North Korean forces have
launched the expected general offensive across the
thirty-eighth parallel towards (Seoul),
the capital of South Korea.
Constant Necessity
The statement said that the United Nations forces
have been forced to withdraw in some
forward positions on a front (32)
kilometers long in the western sector.
Frozen Rivers
News agency reports from
the front say that the attacking forces (Chinese
North) have crossed the (Imjin) River
at two points, penetrating in one of them to a depth
of 10 kilometers, and thus have become (32)
kilometers away from Seoul. This was
expected as the United Nations forces were
forced to retreat, especially the South Koreans
who were subjected to the brunt of the (Chinese
North) attack. It is worth noting
that the (Imjin) and three other rivers

Facts and Falsehoods (3)
If only one of noble birth had slapped me!
Arabs and Jews in the Balance of Logic
By Salman Al-Safwani
The Jews continue their message saying:
(The more you contemplate carefully, the facts become manifest to you, as they are clear and not hidden. You, on the contrary, in your newspaper "Al-Yaqaza"—which does not carry a reasonable share of its name—defy reality—and ignore the facts. You blind yourselves to the humiliation of the Arabs' condition, and their miserable status among nations. They do not command the respect of their enemies, nor does their friend bother to waste any effort in thinking for them. So know this:—the Arabs are of less consequence than what you imagine in your daydreams, and this vast void called the Arab lands is the law of eternity and generations, at a time when its Arab people have missed the caravan of civilization, making it difficult for them to reach due to the vast distance of backwardness. Their lands and souls are void of the components of sound life; they are unable today to stand on their own feet except with help from others, and far be it for this other to help them haphazardly!...)
In these lines, as the reader can see, Jewish "impudence" manifests in its clearest meanings. May God have mercy on the one who said that "modesty is a point"; if this point falls from faces, they no longer feel ashamed of anything they say or do. Otherwise, if it were permissible for anyone to address the Arabs with such words, or describe them as such, the Jews are the last who have the right to do so, because they set a record in "humiliation" and their "miserable" status among nations is well-known. For there is no "despicable group" that societies in the East and West agreed to expel from their midst as the healthy expels the mangy from around him, like the outcast Jewish gangs. The temporary entity that the Jews achieved was the result of two factors: the first is negative if they do not know, and the second is positive, necessitated by emergency circumstances that will not last long, and what resulted from them and was based on them will disappear with them.
As for the negative factor, it is the agreement of the interests of various countries to expel the Jews from Europe and cleanse their societies of their impurity and evil. This negative factor required that Europe push the Jews specifically to Palestine because it is the focus of their attention and the desire of their hearts only, but to hinder the "Arab Renaissance" which emerged into existence as a new political force possessing the sinews of war, the blessings of peace, and the vital communication routes between the three continents. Europe is the one that breathed its spirit into the "Jewish Temple" and established it as a ghost that deceives the onlooker into thinking it is a living being, while in reality, it is nothing but an industrial creature like those the Americans place in their commercial stores, a deaf machine that moves by the will of its owner and according to his whim, and this is the second factor. So where are the "components of sound life" in this machine, I wonder?
The mini-state of the Jewish gangs now lives on begging and charities, on forgery and smuggling, and on selling consciences and morals. Are these the components of sound life that they claim the Arab lands and souls are void of?!
Is it permissible for them after all this to reproach others for not being able to stand on their own feet except with the help of others? As if they stood on their own feet alone without this help! We know that the help of others is not haphazard, but comes at a high price. So what is the high price they paid to the Anglo-American countries that helped them if not the preparation that they will always and forever be the obedient servant state in their wake? It is obvious that it is not expected of the Jewish gangs to tip the scales of the Western front in the Korean front in the Far East, nor in the Russian front in Eastern Europe. Thus, there remains nothing the Jews can do within their narrow scope and limited capabilities except "disturbing" the Arab countries and upsetting "security" in the Middle East, to distract the Arabs from their high national goals with the new danger inside their homeland, so that the major colonial powers may rest to some extent from the pressure of the Arab countries on them, or be forced to settle with them and reach an agreement at a cheap price!
In this is the greatest proof that we "actually" fill the eyes of our enemies "contrary to what they thought." It is good for them to know that the Arabs, who have not ceased to fight colonialism represented by Britain, France, Spain, and Italy, and finally by America and the Jewish gangs, and distribute their fighting forces in various directions and diverse fields for many years—are a nation that fills eyes and hearts, the eyes of men and the hearts of heroes. The Jews have nothing to do with that, and if they have eyes and hearts, they are filled until they overflow in other fields, which they specialized in and exploited in houses and amusement places to an extreme degree that makes free faces sweat with shame.
In any case, these Arabs whose "souls and lands are void of the components of life" in its Jewish concept, are the ones who stood firm throughout their long history against momentous events. Invading and colonizing states and empires passed through them like dreams, while they remained like the mountains and landmarks, and they are the ones who will blow away the artificial Jewish mini-state, and everything that is coming is near!

One of the local newspapers published under a
large headline in bold - an announcement notifying
taxpayers with notices to pay income tax for about
thirty-one Jewish taxpayers subject to income

We were surprised by the negligence of those in charge
