Facts and Falsehoods (3)
If only one of noble birth had slapped me!
Arabs and Jews in the Balance of Logic
By Salman Al-Safwani
The Jews continue their message saying:
(The more you contemplate carefully, the facts become manifest to you, as they are clear and not hidden. You, on the contrary, in your newspaper "Al-Yaqaza"—which does not carry a reasonable share of its name—defy reality—and ignore the facts. You blind yourselves to the humiliation of the Arabs' condition, and their miserable status among nations. They do not command the respect of their enemies, nor does their friend bother to waste any effort in thinking for them. So know this:—the Arabs are of less consequence than what you imagine in your daydreams, and this vast void called the Arab lands is the law of eternity and generations, at a time when its Arab people have missed the caravan of civilization, making it difficult for them to reach due to the vast distance of backwardness. Their lands and souls are void of the components of sound life; they are unable today to stand on their own feet except with help from others, and far be it for this other to help them haphazardly!...)
In these lines, as the reader can see, Jewish "impudence" manifests in its clearest meanings. May God have mercy on the one who said that "modesty is a point"; if this point falls from faces, they no longer feel ashamed of anything they say or do. Otherwise, if it were permissible for anyone to address the Arabs with such words, or describe them as such, the Jews are the last who have the right to do so, because they set a record in "humiliation" and their "miserable" status among nations is well-known. For there is no "despicable group" that societies in the East and West agreed to expel from their midst as the healthy expels the mangy from around him, like the outcast Jewish gangs. The temporary entity that the Jews achieved was the result of two factors: the first is negative if they do not know, and the second is positive, necessitated by emergency circumstances that will not last long, and what resulted from them and was based on them will disappear with them.
As for the negative factor, it is the agreement of the interests of various countries to expel the Jews from Europe and cleanse their societies of their impurity and evil. This negative factor required that Europe push the Jews specifically to Palestine because it is the focus of their attention and the desire of their hearts only, but to hinder the "Arab Renaissance" which emerged into existence as a new political force possessing the sinews of war, the blessings of peace, and the vital communication routes between the three continents. Europe is the one that breathed its spirit into the "Jewish Temple" and established it as a ghost that deceives the onlooker into thinking it is a living being, while in reality, it is nothing but an industrial creature like those the Americans place in their commercial stores, a deaf machine that moves by the will of its owner and according to his whim, and this is the second factor. So where are the "components of sound life" in this machine, I wonder?
The mini-state of the Jewish gangs now lives on begging and charities, on forgery and smuggling, and on selling consciences and morals. Are these the components of sound life that they claim the Arab lands and souls are void of?!
Is it permissible for them after all this to reproach others for not being able to stand on their own feet except with the help of others? As if they stood on their own feet alone without this help! We know that the help of others is not haphazard, but comes at a high price. So what is the high price they paid to the Anglo-American countries that helped them if not the preparation that they will always and forever be the obedient servant state in their wake? It is obvious that it is not expected of the Jewish gangs to tip the scales of the Western front in the Korean front in the Far East, nor in the Russian front in Eastern Europe. Thus, there remains nothing the Jews can do within their narrow scope and limited capabilities except "disturbing" the Arab countries and upsetting "security" in the Middle East, to distract the Arabs from their high national goals with the new danger inside their homeland, so that the major colonial powers may rest to some extent from the pressure of the Arab countries on them, or be forced to settle with them and reach an agreement at a cheap price!
In this is the greatest proof that we "actually" fill the eyes of our enemies "contrary to what they thought." It is good for them to know that the Arabs, who have not ceased to fight colonialism represented by Britain, France, Spain, and Italy, and finally by America and the Jewish gangs, and distribute their fighting forces in various directions and diverse fields for many years—are a nation that fills eyes and hearts, the eyes of men and the hearts of heroes. The Jews have nothing to do with that, and if they have eyes and hearts, they are filled until they overflow in other fields, which they specialized in and exploited in houses and amusement places to an extreme degree that makes free faces sweat with shame.
In any case, these Arabs whose "souls and lands are void of the components of life" in its Jewish concept, are the ones who stood firm throughout their long history against momentous events. Invading and colonizing states and empires passed through them like dreams, while they remained like the mountains and landmarks, and they are the ones who will blow away the artificial Jewish mini-state, and everything that is coming is near!

This matter is indeed strange
One of the local newspapers published under a
large headline in bold - an announcement notifying
taxpayers with notices to pay income tax for about
thirty-one Jewish taxpayers subject to income
tax, based on the anonymity of
their residence and their absence from the eyes of the

We were surprised by the negligence of those in charge

Revocation of Iraqi citizenship for Jews who attempted to flee
Security authorities at the borders had previously arrested (46) Jews
who were attempting to flee Iraq, and referred them to the competent departments to take
legal measures against them.
Al-Umma has learned that the Council of Ministers, upon reviewing the letters received
from the competent departments regarding these individuals, decided to revoke their Iraqi citizenship.
The Council also decided to revoke Iraqi citizenship for (164) Jews from among those
who submitted applications to have their citizenship revoked.

Resignations of Jewish employees in
the Telegraph and Post departments have increased these days.
These are among the important technical departments that
can only be handled by capable technicians, and technicians
only come through education, higher institutes,

remedy for the situation without opening courses for such
technical positions and training young people
on that.

⟦illegible⟧ if not for what I noticed in what the writers published
an error that is almost a new type of
dealing with historical subjects
⟦illegible⟧
What is indisputable is that Mustafa
Pasha, or in a phrase closer to
had two views for which he was known and which he followed throughout
following them. And the two trends, according to what
his production in the years during which he led
the Turkish administration, were emanating
from his own vision, meaning that his faith
in them pushed him to be
daring in application
The first trend revolves - politically -
around liberating Turkey with an accomplished liberation
containing no ambiguity, and discarding relations
that would hinder the progress of the Turkish nation
towards sovereignty and prosperity. With countries
that were practicing the style of "The [Sick] Man"
⟦illegible⟧
Mustafa Kemal succeeded in his policy
with a brilliant success, which prompted
the world and its historians to record him
among the list of the unique figures of the present era.
As for the second trend, it paved its way
by transforming the Muslim Turkish society into a society
similar to European societies, so he carried out
the well-known actions that paved the way
against Islam, depriving it of its splendor
and stripping the Turkish people of every symbol
of the Sharia of Muhammad bin Abdullah "PBUH"
Here the road is completely cut off for
defending the Father of the Turks,
and those who attack him on this path
do so from an Islamic standpoint imposed on them by creed.
If it were not for Pahlavi being an imitator of this
view and a flatterer - in the words of some
Persian politicians - we would have seen the second example
of types of regression from the Sharia taking
its place in the land of the Chosroes.
In any case, what I want to say in
this haste is that whoever wishes to undertake
writing about the personality of Mustafa Kemal
must only give the aspects of his manhood
the deserved amount of attention and credit
because if the man failed in his social endeavor,
this failure should not overshadow
what he showed of wisdom and skill in the fields
of other reforms.
Just as the opinion that says the Turkish people
have returned to the fold of religion anew and that
they will shed the cloak of secularism from their body
as soon as possible, its share of the truth, if
not zero, then it does not nourish nor satisfy
hunger because the generation that grew up in
an environment where they denounced the word Islam and forbade
people from performing its rituals, a specific behavior
became fixed in their minds, which in itself is not bound
by an opinion nor does it revolve around a reasonable face.
And whoever reflects on the saying of the poet:
If you straighten the branches, they become straight
But they do not soften if they are made of wood
finds that the problem is so complex to a degree
that it can only be solved by a general intellectual revolution surging
from the ancient lands of Islam, providing these
countries with a campaign of those with religious talents
and Islamic competencies so that
these people may undertake the task of beautifying thoughts and purifying
souls from the stains of the false modern
civilization. A. A.

Reasons for High Prices
As described by an expert
And as explained by His Excellency the Director General of Imports
Deportation of an Iranian Jew
From Basra
The administrative authorities in Basra have decided
to deport the individual named Naeem Mashallah, who is
an Iranian Jew, from Basra because his residency
is undesirable in Iraq as it appeared
that his behavior is not good.
Four Jewish Convoys
Leave Basra in One Week
We have learned that the department entrusted with the task of
registering the names of Jews wishing to renounce
their Iraqi citizenship among the Jews of Basra,
and processing their transactions for their deportation to Cyprus,
has completed the transactions of many of these individuals.
We have understood that four Jewish convoys
will leave Basra by air to
Cyprus during the coming week.
A writer had sent this newspaper a lengthy statement in which he addressed the causes of
high prices and restricted the responsibility to the Directorate of Imported Funds, accusing it of restricting
the import of woolen materials and newsprint to a specific group of lucky merchants.
We hesitated in publishing the statement and contacted one of the major merchants and showed him
this statement, and he denied everything mentioned in it and said:
The General Directorate of Imports has never rejected a request submitted to it at all and has granted
licenses to many of those interested, but the reason for this rise is the rise of funds
in their production sites; for example, a yard of woolen cloth in London is 59 shillings, which
is equivalent to three dinars, and if we add the customs duty of 30 percent, we find the price per yard
is four dinars and change, and the same applies to the rest of the materials, all of which are in this manner.
The merchant went on to say: The Directorate of Imported Funds gave every person their
due right, and therefore it is no longer in the power of occasional importers to sell their licenses for more
than one percent, and there are still licenses amounting to ten million dinars
whose owners have not been able to bring in goods with them, and the era of exploitation and trading
in licenses has passed and gone.
We contacted His Excellency the Director General of Imports and sought his opinion on the cause
of this exorbitant rise, and he confirmed to us the reasons explained to us by the respected merchant,
and stated that the Directorate has never obstructed the case of an importer at all. He added regarding the rise of
newsprint that its cause is the rise of this material in its original location, and that the Directorate is serious about
alleviating this hardship through effective means. Then he spoke about the rumor regarding the restriction of
importing to a specific class and refuted it in an indisputable manner. The number of
importers has reached thousands after they were in the dozens and hundreds, and there remained
amounts that were not imported due to the inability and lack of experience of their owners and their rights in selling the licenses
belonging to them. Had the Directorate stood in their way, they would have raised an immense outcry,
but the leniency of the Directorate put an end to this exploitation. His Excellency said that among
the measures taken by the Directorate of Imported Funds is the prohibition of importing materials already available
in Iraq, such as shoes, luxury items, and things that are difficult for the
middle and lower classes to purchase, and it reduced the massive quantities related to the
aforementioned materials due to Iraq's lack of need for them, in order to preserve for Iraq a wealth that was on the verge
of vanishing.
We say that everything mentioned in these statements is beyond reproach, and if
Jewish hands were playing in the markets as they played their roles in previous
eras, we would not have seen the market maintain its calm and tranquility, as a large
portion of Jewish merchants are still sequestered in their ivory towers and have frozen their fortunes
thinking that such freezing affects the market and that consumers will miss them,
but their exit from the markets had the best impact on the country, considering what
they are famous for in terms of risks and speculation without keeping a line for retreat or
placing weight on their commercial honor. If we want to take a look at the market,
we do not find it threatened by stifling crises except for limited goods that do not affect the
average population. Added to this is that national woolen products
still maintain their level, and their owners did not exploit this crisis, such as the factories of
Fattah Pasha and Saleh Ibrahim and other small factories related to other materials.
If Iraqis had followed a reasonable path, they would have found themselves in no need of many
materials imported from abroad; perhaps people will use logic and turn to
their national products.

800 Jewish Employees
Expected revocation of their Iraqi citizenship
It was reported that the Council of Ministers will consider during this week large lists including
a not insignificant number of Jewish employees in official departments who requested the revocation of
their citizenships; the number of persons in these lists is approximately (800) names whose matter
will be decided during this week. It is expected after the approval of these revocation requests
is issued, that the various departments will decide on the matter of discharging these employees and replacing
them with others.
