(( Copy of the Letter ))
During the past two years, the Ministry of Education has exerted massive efforts in
order to improve and develop the curricula and make them proceed according to the latest scientific and educational foundations
and since the establishment of the blessed revolution, various committees in the General Directorate of Technical Affairs have dedicated themselves to studying
the previous curricula and textbooks in an attempt to improve and develop those curricula and make them
consistent with the objective scientific spirit and achieve the educational and social goals for the present and
future generations. In light of what those committees reached, the authorship committees worked on developing books consistent with
the new curricula. The experiences that the Ministry of Education encountered regarding education affairs and constructive criticism
presented by some, whether through the pages of newspapers and magazines or through letters written to the Ministry of Education,
had an effective impact in reconsidering some curricula and books and moving toward purifying them of impurities
and amending them in accordance with scientific integrity and the educational goals emanating from the public interest that
we all aspire to. As a fruit of the continuous efforts exerted by the Ministry of Education through its official bodies
and exerted by professors of higher institutes, secondary school teachers, primary school teachers, and inspectors,
the new curricula were established, which were printed in the form of pamphlets distributed to schools and other parties
to study them and submit recommendations regarding them with the aim of benefiting from the notes provided by those who actually
apply the curricula, as they are more knowledgeable than others about the real problems of education and the sound means to overcome them.
The Ministry of Education intends to fix the new curricula and approve them finally, and then subsequently refine
the books and change them in light of them.
Given the importance of the project that the Ministry will undertake, as it is closely linked to the fate of hundreds of thousands
of our student children and their future, and consequently our country and our nation, we call upon the men of education including professors,
teachers, inspectors, and everyone concerned with the future of upbringing and education, to study those curricula
and submit proposals and recommendations regarding them for the purpose of benefiting from them before proceeding to fix the new curricula
finally. We repeat our request to those concerned with education affairs to provide us with their proposals
and recommendations about the new curricula, and by doing so, they will have rendered a valuable service to their student children and for the future of
their country and their nation.

Subject / Duties of Provincial Education Directors regarding Medical
Reports issued during General Examinations
Listed below are the instructions regarding medical reports granted to students during General
Examinations. Please review them and notify examination center directors and schools affiliated with you to implement them
duly.
1- All students who intend to postpone their general examination due to an illness during the school year
that prevents them from taking the general examination must submit their medical reports accompanied by a letter from the school
the student belongs to, stating their observations regarding his absence from study during the period of the attached medical reports.
These letters are to be submitted to the specialized medical committee in the Student Health Directorate or other medical
committees formed in the provinces for this purpose shortly before the start of the examination.
2- Whoever intends to postpone his general examinations due to a chronic illness must appear before the medical committee at the
Student Health Hospital or other committees formed for this purpose in the provincial centers, bringing with him
the documents, identification, medical reports, and pathological analyses before the start of the examination. If it is proven
he is ill, his examination will be postponed to the second session.
3- Medical reports from private doctors' clinics regarding the postponement of general examinations are not accepted at all,
except for medical reports issued by a public hospital in locations where no Student Health
institution exists.
4- All examination directors are requested not to provide any student with a sick form after entering the examination hall
while being in good health. If a student falls ill after receiving the questions, necessary first aid
shall be provided in the hall by the responsible health official.
5- Sick students of elementary and intermediate levels shall visit the nearest student health clinic in their areas
for examination, treatment, and to be given necessary medical reports, provided that those reports are endorsed by the Student
Health Directorate.
6- The reports obtained by students are to be submitted directly to the director of the examination center.
7- Medical reports may not be submitted later than one week after the end of the examination.
