Minutes of the General Council meeting on August 19, 943
Based on the end of the term of the Lay Council on August 16, 943
His Eminence Rabbi Sassoon Khedouri, President of the Jewish Community,
issued an invitation to the members of the General Council to hold an extraordinary meeting and elect
a president and a new Lay Council for the next two years in accordance with Article 11 of the Law
of the Jewish Community No. 77 of the year 931. There attended at the headquarters of the administration of the
Jewish Community in Baghdad at the appointed time for the meeting, which was

on August 19, 943, to elect a president and a Lay Council, the leadership of the community issued a call to the General
Council to hold the meeting a second time at six-thirty in the afternoon on Sunday, August 29,
943. At the appointed time, the members of the Council, excluding the President, whose names are recorded
below, attended at the headquarters of the community administration:-
