With reference to your letter numbered A / 19 / 1 / 7 and dated 13 / 8 / 1940.
I have the honor to submit the results of the Jewish elections that took place under the supervision of the Electoral
Committee, which resulted in the victory of the individuals whose names are listed in the general minutes
and the special minutes submitted herewith. Therefore, they have become, according to the law, members
of the Jewish General Council.

Based on the decision of the Supervisory Committee for the Jewish Elections, the body met under the chairmanship of
the President, Mr. Hamdi al-Adhami, the Legal Recorder at the Ministry of Justice, and the membership of Rabbi Salman Hoki
Abboudi and the lawyer Anwar Shaul on (Friday) corresponding to (20) September / 1940 at the Presidency of the Jewish
Community in Baghdad at eight o'clock in the morning. The ballot box prepared for the election was brought, and after
it was inspected by the attending Rabbis, it was locked according to the rules, and the election commenced until
nine o'clock, when the conclusion of the election was announced. The box was opened, and the ballot papers were removed from
inside it, numbering (21) papers. Then the names written therein were read publicly and classified according to the rules. As a result of the classification,
the persons whose names are written above obtained the votes according to the numbers mentioned next to
their names. In view of that, the majority of votes were won by (Rabbis Sassoon Khedouri,
Benjamin Hakham Moshe, Salman Hoki Abboudi, Raphael Isaac Hayyim, Yehoshua Moshe Haskel,
Sassoon Ezra Ishaq, and David Ezra Musfi). Therefore, they have become members according to the rules, and for this purpose
this protocol was organized in three copies and signed by us.

Based on the decision of the Supervisory Committee for the Israelite Elections, the body attended under the chairmanship of the President, Mr. Hamdi al-Adhami, the Legal Recorder at the Ministry of Justice,
and the membership of each of Rabbi <del>Salman</del> Salman Hoki Abboudi <del>and the two lawyers Ibrahim Hayyim</del> and Anwar <del>Shaul</del> Sassoon, with a group of the neighborhood notables and its Mukhtar in the name of
(Monday) corresponding to (20) September of the year 1940 at (Torah Lugha) at three o'clock in the afternoon, and the box prepared for the election was brought, and after
it was seen by those present, it was locked and tied securely according to the regulations, and the election commenced until five o'clock in the afternoon as well, when the conclusion of the election was announced
and the box was opened and the ballot papers were taken out from inside it, and their number was (92) papers. Then the names written in them were read, examined, and classified according to the regulations, and as a result of
the classification, the persons whose names are written above obtained the opinions according to the votes whose numbers were mentioned next to their names. In view of that, the majority was won by each of:-
