أرجو أن أقدم لكم طيه طلباً مقدماً من السيد ⟦لطيف حوري⟧
لتعيينه مدرساً في مدرستكم . إن السيد ⟦لطيف⟧ هو من خريجي
الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت (١٩٣٧) وقد نال شهادة ⟦B.A.⟧
بدرجة امتياز . وقد اشتغل مدرساً في مدرسة ⟦فرنك عيني⟧
الثانوية لمدة سنتين (١٩٤٨ - ١٩٥٠) . وقد كان مدرساً ناجحاً جداً
في عمله ومحبوباً من قبل طلابه .

appointment of teachers for the English language in my
schools, I would like to inform you that before leaving
England on the 21st August 1956, I engaged two teachers
to fill the existing vacancies. The appointments were
made as a result of applications which I received directly
in reply to advertisements I put in the "Times Educational
Supplement" and the Manchester Guardian" while I was in
England and are not connected with your agency in any way.
While thanking you for the attention you have been
giving my schools, I do not see any use in keeping the
vacancy open on your books for the time being.

who is principal of Shamash Secondary School, and The Frank Iny School,
New Alwiyah, Baghdad, Iraq, informs us he requires in September 2
assistant masters or mistresses, or one married couple provided the wife
teaches as well.
The work will be to teach English language and literature. One of
the posts will be in the lower forms and the other post in the upper forms
work up to the General Certificate of Education Advanced level.
Ability to speak French would be a recommendation but is not essential.
The schools are for the Jewish community in Baghdad and the programme
of work will be 25 - 26 courses weekly. Each course being of 45 minutes and
taking place in the mornings and afternoons according to the needs of the time-
table of classes fixed by the school principal. Correction of work will be
done by the teacher outside of the courses.
The posts will be non-resident and the salaries will be a matter of arrangement.
The posts will be held on a 2 years contract and fares paid out and back provided
the contract is completed.
PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU ARE APPLYING QUOTING NAME AND NUMBER OF NOTICE.
NOTES.
We have not had the pleasure of acting for these schools before
and full particulars, and details of contract etc, should be discussed with
Mr. Obadiah.
For all overseas posts we have been advised by the Ministry of
Education that clients should obtain a written statement setting out all the
terms and conditions of appointment signed by a competent authority before
formally accepting the appointment and leaving England.
Further advice could be obtained if required, also from the appropriate
British Consul where possible.
In the case of ladies - we are in the process of taking up references
so will you please check with us before accepting the posts.
