1- Ladies, misses, gentlemen, good morning.
2- Our school prides itself today with this honorable ceremony to distribute school prizes to the outstanding students
in their lessons for this academic year. As we welcome the distinguished visitors, we are proud to present
to them our award-winning students as they are on their way to the podium.
3- Our dear students, the award winners, are requested to salute their honorable audience.
4- Distinguished guests, our schools take pride in this elite group of students, who are the object of its pride
and the good fruit of its efforts; their chests are adorned with medals, for among them is the first, the ideal, and the
recipient of the Medal of Commendation and the medals of honor, excellence, and superiority ....
5- We begin our ceremony with the Republican Anthem .... The Republican Anthem ....
6- Award students are requested to take the seats prepared for them.
7- Mr. Abdullah Obadia will now kindly deliver his speech.
8- Ladies, misses, gentlemen ....
We have previously referred to the various prizes and medals worn by those who deserve them. There is
the Commendation Prize, which is awarded to the student who receives prizes in three consecutive years or more.
There is the Honor Prize, which is awarded to the student who receives three or more prizes in one year.
And the Excellence Prize, which is awarded to those who excel over their classmates in the results of the general ministerial examinations
(the Baccalaureates) such that they are among the top three among the students of Iraq ... or for those who achieve
first place among their classmates in school exams, general exams, or special exams
in three consecutive exams during the intermediate and secondary education stages ... and there is
also the Superiority Prize, which is awarded to the student who receives the Honor or Excellence prizes in three
consecutive years.. Thirteen of our students were entitled to the Commendation Prize this year. Four students
were entitled to the Honor Prize ... while five students were entitled to the Excellence Prize. Two students
were entitled to the Superiority Prize.
9- And now, the head of the community, His Eminence Rabbi Sassoon Khedouri, is requested to proceed to the stage to distribute
the awards to those who deserve them. Also, Mr. Abdullah Obadia is requested to proceed to the stage
as well to congratulate the students on that.
10- School awards for the year 1960 - 1961
First - Superiority, Excellence, Honor, and Commendation Awards
(1) (Munshi Farid) Salman Jetayat graduated summer 1960 Shamash Preparatory School
A - He won the Superiority Prize for receiving Honor or Excellence prizes in four consecutive years.
Due to his absence, the student Ezra Salman Jetayat comes forward to receive the awards on his behalf.

2- He also won the Distinction Award for achieving first place among all Iraqi students
who passed the public examinations (Baccalaureate) for the preparatory school, scientific
branch, for the summer of 1960 first, and for achieving first place in school examinations
and special examinations in six consecutive exams during the intermediate and preparatory
study stages.
3- He also won the Honor Award for receiving three prizes in this year's distribution.
4- He also won the Commendation Award for obtaining prizes in five consecutive years.
5- He also won another Commendation Award for his self-study of theoretical mathematics
