These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish schools. They contain typed and printed booklets for student awards ceremonies for the 1957-1958, 1958-1959, 1959-1960 and 1960-1961 academic years, recognizing students from Shamash Secondary School, Frank Iny School, and Menahem S. Daniel's School. Regulations & Directions for the Selection of the
Best paper for Composition or for Short Story Con-
test in English.

I.     A committee shall be formed of 3 or more members comprising:
(a) The class teacher concerned.
(b) A second teacher of English, if available, in the school.
(c) One or two outsiders mastering the English Language.

II.    The Committee will mark each paper according to the follow-
ing scale:

شروط اختيار أحسن انشاء أو أحسن قصة في مسابقات الطلاب والطالبات

أولا - تؤلف لجنة من مدرسي اللغة العربية في المدرسة وعضو أو عضوين خارجيين من يجيد
اللغة العربية .

ثانيا - يضع أعضاء هذه اللجنة درجات على كل انشاء او كل قصة بموجب المقياس التالي :-

ملاحظات عامة :-
١- يعطى الموضوع للمتسابقين من قبل ادارة المدرسة .
٢- يكتب الموضوع داخل المدرسة باشراف الادارة والمدرسين .
٣- يجوز تحديد وقت معين لكتابة الموضوع وتحديد عدد الكلمات بصورة تقريبية
او عدم تحديد هما واعطاء المجال الذي يكفي الطالب للكتابة .
٤- اذا كان الوقت غير محدد يسمح للطلاب بالتنفس لفرص قصيرة عند الحاجة .
٥- يسمح للمتسابقين باستعمال القاموس ان شاؤا ذلك .
٦- ان الفائز بالجائزة المخصصة لهذه المباراة يجب ان يحوز ٦٠ ٪ من الدرجة
على الاقل .

او عدم تحديد هما واعطاء المجال الذي يكفي الطالب للكتابة .
٤- اذا كان الوقت غير محدد يسمح للطلاب بالتنفس لفرص قصيرة عند الحاجة .

II.  The Committee will mark each paper according to the follow-
