To the Honorable President of the Jewish Community - Baghdad
Your letter dated ⟦7⟧ / ⟦5⟧ / 950
Hassa bint Hussein is still in her residence located in the old cemetery of the Jewish community, and our lack of request for the disbursement of her salary
during all this time was due to her retracting her testimony before the court in the lawsuit filed by this Secretariat against one
of the individuals who trespassed upon the sanctity of the cemetery by building on it for a period of two years, which led to damaging the interests of the General Secretariat
and its loss of the lawsuit after it spent expenses on the aforementioned lawsuit amounting to nearly 60 Dinars, while she was
the reason for filing the said lawsuit due to her repeated visits to us to evict the aforementioned person from the cemetery, showing us her readiness, along with her husband,
to testify before the court, and the result was the denial by her, her husband, and her relatives of what she had pledged to us, which led to the failure to prove
the charge against the trespasser. She deserves the salary starting from December / 954, and it is not for us to express an opinion on paying her salaries or keeping her
in her place after what transpired from her. Peace be upon you.

Furthermore, one of the persons trespassed on the cemetery in Mosul by residing there,
and a portion has been completed for several years, and the Secretary of the Province filed the lawsuit
against him relying on the testimony of Hassa and her husband, but she denied
the testimony and the Secretariat lost the lawsuit. The Secretary of Mosul Province
did not request the disbursement of her salaries since December 1954. I suggest
paying her salaries and dismissing her, and compensating the Secretary of Mosul by appointing
a guard in your stead.
