Our dear student sons,
Today, the Arab nation in all its regions commemorates a painful memory: the anniversary of the ill-fated Balfour Declaration,
which was the beginning of its great ordeal of colonial-Zionist aggression against dear Palestine. Soon
the commemoration of this anniversary became an incentive to close ranks, unify words, and strengthen ties of cooperation
and solidarity among the people of the Arab world in all fields of public life to consolidate the principles of right
and justice, spread the banner of knowledge, raise the torch of culture, and build a new generation that receives its full share of
civilization and progress, contributing to the liberation of its usurped land and the achievement of advancement and prosperity for its
dear homeland through all means and capabilities.
The establishment of the National Union of Iraqi Students was among these means, aiming for noble goals
to strengthen the foundations of national unity by fulfilling the duties required by the precious homeland
from its students, the men of the future, and spreading the spirit of sincerity, affection, and harmony throughout its regions,
combating colonialism with the weapon of modern science, high culture, and high technical competence.
As we bless these goals for the good and sovereignty of our nation, we sincerely advise our
dear student sons to keep in mind, in all circumstances and conditions, the necessity of being keen to perform
their academic and cultural duties to the fullest extent, and to consider the guidance of their teachers as
paternal advice to them, and to consider their school as their affectionate mother; this school which
has become, thanks to the extensive efforts exerted for its sake, a living ideal model of order and scientific
standards, its pillar being the authentic cooperation existing between its students, its administration, and its teaching staff,
this cooperation which we hope will continue to grow and prosper, hoping that it remains always a beacon
for our student sons under their National Union, by which they are guided in everything that brings them good
and success, making their motto "performing duties before demanding rights," this motto which has become
one of the rules of modern education through its aim of maintaining order, and avoiding the impulse
behind everything that conflicts with the true interests of the students and inflicts heavy damage on their scientific
and cultural future. Furthermore, the members of the educational staff of this school and all those responsible for its administration
hope that the National Union of Students therein will be a righteous tool for building and construction, and that they contribute
to solving the school's problems in a way that ensures its growth and prosperity. This is for the benefit of this rising generation
upon whom the nation pins its highest hopes to ward off the hardships and tribulations that have befallen it, and to restore what was stolen
of its rights, and to achieve the glory and prosperity it aspires to in its comprehensive renaissance, noble goals,
and blessed aspirations. Long live Palestine, Arab and free.

Our dear student sons.
The Arab nation celebrates today in all its regions a painful anniversary, which is
the anniversary of the ill-fated Balfour Declaration, which was the beginning of the series of the great catastrophe
of the colonialist-Zionist aggression against dear Palestine. And despite
what the celebration of this anniversary has become, a catalyst for gathering ranks and unifying
the word and strengthening the bonds of cooperation and solidarity among the sons of the Arab
homeland in all fields of public life to consolidate the principles of
truth and justice, spread the banner of peace, raise the torch of culture, and build
a new generation that receives its full share of civilization and progress and contributes
to the liberation of its usurped land and in achieving the rise and prosperity
of its dear homeland by all means and capabilities.
The establishment of the National Union of Expatriate Students was
among these means, with the noble goals it aims for
to consolidate the pillars of national unity by undertaking the duties
required by the precious homeland from its students, the men of the future,
and spreading the spirit of sincerity, affection, and harmony in all its parts
and fighting colonialism with the weapon of modern science and high
culture and high technical competence.
As we bless these goals for the good and expansion of our nation,
we sincerely recommend our dear student sons to

To the respected teacher, Miss ⟦Liu'i⟧
Greetings and respect,
I had asked our daughter Lam'an, regarding the history exam for the months of
April and May, only one question which is (What is the benefit of food for humans?)
And a grade of (4) was given for this question according to what appeared in the list of grades.
Therefore, we request an answer to it according to the history book, which is (Ancient Man for the Third
Primary Grades) or according to your preference so that she may learn it in the future and be
according to your assessment. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
⟦illegible⟧

Respected Mr. Abdullah Obeidia
After greetings,
I took the opportunity today to fulfill your request regarding the cinema films, and I apologize
for my delay due to my limited time.
The first thing in requesting films is to write a list of the film names on a paper
and have it signed either by the stadium management or the school as follows:
"We thank you for the films you provided us with last week; the scenes of the film
such-and-such were beautiful, delightful, and clear, and its subject was interesting and .... and the film such-and-such ⟦...⟧ enabled us to learn
about the conditions of the United States of America in terms of culture, etc... (and if there was a film or
more whose images were unclear or whose sound was faint and unclear, inform them of it while writing the name of the film as follows:)
The film such-and-such, its sound was intermittent after five minutes (or in its middle or at its end or all of it), which did not
allow us to enjoy it, etc. etc... (likewise, if the film was torn, i.e., cut in some of its parts, they must be informed)
And we hope you provide us with the following films: 1- .... 2- .... (in each request, the films should not exceed four)
In the event that one or more of the films mentioned above are not available, please replace it with any of the films
following 1- .... 2- .... 3- .... etc. - (and you may put more than four backup films)
The films must be kept for one week from the date of their receipt, and if it happens that they are delayed for a second
week, you must inform the (Film Department) at the American Information Service in person that you will renew the film period for a second
week, and the person receives the renewal paper. Likewise, if a third week delay occurs.
And when returning the films each time after the screening, you must attach a paper after filling in its fields,
which is printed by the American Information Service, and you should request it from the "Film Department" when it runs out, and also when
returning the films in the blanket, and you should request the mentioned reports from the Film Department. And it is advisable to write

This, and I hope to be relieved of the responsibility for the cinema for the guests, whether it takes place in the stadium or in the school, and as I see,
it is advisable to move the cinema equipment to the school so that students can enjoy watching movies as well.
Finally, I would like to express my opinion on our school which I left... many questions revolve in my mind without
an answer after I became acquainted with the outside world in terms of culture, and I noticed that our school is the first of its kind in
Iraq in various aspects... but where is the encouragement of the extra-curricular spirit, the development of students' talents, and the utilization
of their activities, refining them and directing them correctly so that they benefit others and themselves at the same time and as early as possible
the school from this aspect.. I wonder, does materiality have a strong direct influence (knowing that the school is not poor) or
are there personal agendas preventing consideration of this subject??? and let us not forget that this aspect ⟦illegible⟧
requires Herculean efforts and an untiring strong determination and a great broad mind to manage and lead this aspect...
And I am sure that these qualities exist in one person in the school.. and at any time different student committees are formed
working for culture and sports, and students are lowered into them with the support of the educated teachers who have a spirit of progress.
I have learned that an English teacher ⟦Hallan⟧ has knowledge in such subjects.. I wonder, was he asked for his opinion??
And when will a committee be formed to oversee the films, their selection, coordinating the screening, and critiquing them etc... ?? And at what time
will some teachers treat the students as their brothers, teaching for the sake of knowledge not for materiality, and broadening their culture for benefit and use??
And why all this exhaustion in lessons which is beyond capacity, making the students bored with the lessons ⟦illegible⟧
from the administration and the school and lashing out with their sharp tongues at them... and why all this cramming of lessons which makes the times
of self-recreation narrow or completely non-existent?? and which makes the times of extra-curricular culture completely
non-existent?? .. I wonder, are students humans or machines?? and is the mind completed by filling it with all these lessons all at
once and in one day, and digesting them scientifically and practically?? and do the students have the same ability and diligence in school lessons??
And until when will they continue to only memorize lessons like parrots, making them understand nothing but what is in the book and that superficially
only, so they can free themselves for the dozens of books waiting for their turn without understanding them all and digesting them scientifically and practically, making
the students take pleasure in following the lessons without interruption; for that I hope the principal will verify the truth of my words yourself
