Ezra Menachem Daniel Stadium Baghdad Telephone: 85267 Date: 12/29/1963 The Honorable President of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews Baghdad Greetings, We attach herewith a copy of the income and expenditure account realized for the Ezra Menachem Daniel Stadium from October 1, 1962, to September 30, 1963. We also attach a copy of the stadium's financial position as of 9/30/1963, duplicated from the stadium's books which were audited by the members of the Stadium Committee and the auditors, Messrs. Whinney Murray & Co. Salaries and labor wages constitute the largest part of the stadium's payments, as they reached 1218.750 Dinars this year. Other expenses are ordinary, except for 44.400 Dinars for legal fees in the case of the previous stadium guard. These fees were paid by the Administrative Committee directly and recorded to the stadium's account. Furthermore, the stadium still needs many items of furniture and other sports necessities, and lights for the garden and tennis courts. We have previously accounted for this aspect in our estimated budget and allocated the necessary amounts, noting that they were not spent. We must keep this reserve for the current year, and it will be spent only if necessary and when it becomes possible for the Committee to devote itself to this aspect. The Stadium Committee had borrowed from the Administrative Committee during the year ending on 9/30/1963 an amount of 1044.400 Dinars. The Administrative Committee also paid auditing fees to Messrs. Whinney Murray amounting to 70/- Dinars for the stadium's account. These two amounts were added to the 640.794 Dinars that remained from last year, bringing the total to 1755.194 Dinars. The total expenses of the stadium for the above year reached 1709.822 Dinars, while the income was 404.331 Dinars, making the deficit 1305.491 Dinars, which is requested to be charged to the endowment of the late Ezra Menachem Daniel.
