I have previously informed you in the past about the possibility of my reappointment to service at Baghdad University.
During your absence from Iraq, it happened that I was assigned to join the University to fill some vacancies
existing in one of the higher institutes as a matter of urgency. Accordingly, and in view of the imminent
issuance of my appointment order and the likelihood of my starting work at the university on 12 / 25 / 1960, please
consider me resigned from the management of Frank Iny School and Shamash Secondary School as of 12 / 25 / 1960.
Given my concern for the interest of these two schools, especially since I have held the position of
Director there for about eight consecutive years, during which the two schools reached a level that matches, in my
belief, the standards of the finest schools, I still feel it is my duty to contribute to the service of our schools
and to cooperate with the respected Administrative Committee in this service in whatever manner you see fit.

After greetings,
Our committee met on Wednesday, 21 / 12 / 1960, in the presence of Messrs. Meer Basri, Heskel Setty, and Sasson Bashi, and decided the following:
First - Based on the joining of Mr. Abdullah Owaidya, the principal of the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary schools, to the University of Baghdad and the possibility of him starting work there as of 25 / 12 / 1960, and in view of the requirements of the public interest, our committee has decided to assign Mr. Abdullah Owaidya immediately to undertake general supervision over the management of our schools in financial, administrative, and technical aspects, and to authorize him with the necessary powers for spending as required for our schools within the limits of the approved allocations in the budgets of these schools. It was also decided to assign the aforementioned person to continue delivering lectures. Please issue your esteemed committee's decision on this so that the affairs of our schools can proceed regularly.
Second - Our committee has decided to elect Mr. Abdullah Owaidya as its secretary starting from 21 / 12 / 1960 and authorizes correspondence in this capacity directly in the name of the Committee.
Third - Since the General Supervisor is the primary official responsible for the management of the schools, we have authorized Mr. Abdullah Owaidya to delegate whoever he nominates on a temporary basis to manage the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary schools and to inform your committee of that.
Fourth - The committee looked into the estimated budget for the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary schools for the academic year 1960 / 61, submitted by the administration of these two schools via its letter No. F / 368 / 60 dated 19 / 12 / 1960, and approved all its chapters and sections, with total expenditures amounting to (30500 / -) thirty thousand five hundred Dinars.
