These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community. بعد التحية جواباً على كتابكم رقم ١٨٤ تاريخ ٢٣ الجاري
جئنا نبين الى حضرتكم بان هيأتنا قد اجمعت على الموافقة بالتعديل
الذي عرضتموه بخصوص المادة ٨ من نظامنا وذلك نظراً الى صحة
وجهة نظركم بهذا الشأن . فلهذا اعيدوا النظام الينا مصححاً وفقاً
لما ذكرتموه في كتابكم ٢٦ الجاري رقم ١٨٢ ، ويسرنا ان نعلمكم باننا قد
باشرنا بالفعل وذلك بطبع النظام وتوزيعه داخلاً وخارجاً كما اننا
سنفتح الاكتتاب في القريب العاجل ونبدأ بجمع التبرعات .
تجدون طيه قائمة حساب المصاريف التي صرفتها لجنتنا حتى
تاريخه فالرجاء ان تتفضلوا بتسويته هذا ولكم الافضل ودمتم

reussite complète dans notre difficile tâche .
Vous n'ignorez pas que l'enseignement aux 2 ecoles Nouriel et Haron
Saleh laissant beaucoup à désirer faute de bons professeurs, notre comité
vient de voter une somme très importante à ces 2 ecoles pour l'ameliorat-
tion du personnel enseignant et la location d'un immeuble pour les eleves
de l'ecole Nouriel. Ces 2 Midrachés méritent tout interêt vu qu'ils ne
reçoivent aucune ⟦autre⟧ subvention que les revenus de leurs Waqf, qui se
trouvent malheureusement restreintes à cause de la baisse du loyer.

particulier la lettre d'appel. Il suffit a ce genereux coreligionnaire,
de lire la dite lettre d'appel dans votre honorable Journal pour nous
envoyer sa souscription .Nous souhaitons que le nombre de vos lecteurs
soient nombreux , pour qu'un grand nombre de coreligionnaires Bagdadis

ان ابناءنا في الصف المذكور قد اهملوا اهمالاً كلياً من قبل معلم اللغة الانكليزية الاستاذ

اصبحت صفراً وان الامتحان النهائي قد قرب موعده فلهذا نرجو من لجنتكم الموقرة

صوب مدارس الاليانس على حساب المبلغ الذي خصص لمدرستي نورئيل وهارون صالح . وعينا ايضاً لجنة لدرس
مسألة الاجور المدرسية في مدرسة الرصافة <del>والكرخ</del> لكي يكون من ذلك اساس لحساب الاجور في المدارس الاخرى
وبعد فحص تقريرهم سنخبركم هذا المعنى . اننا انتدبنا اثنين من اعضاء اللجنة لحضور اجتماع المجلس ربما في موعد القادم
ونرجو منكم فيما يخص الاجتماعات المقبلة ان تخبرونا قبل خمسة او ستة ايام من يوم الجلسة التي يراد حضور العضوين فيها
ونود ايضاً ان نخبركم ان لجنتنا راغبة رغبة خاصة في بناء مدرسة نورئيل وتريد ان تطلع على <del>⟦illegible⟧</del> مقدار
تكاليف ذلك <del>⟦illegible⟧</del> ونتقدم ايضاً الى مجلسكم الموقر الخرائط اللازمة ايضاً
وعليه فنرجو ان تصادقوا على <del>تخصيص</del> اجرة المهندس الذي يقوم بذلك مع تعيينه
ايضاً . ويؤسفنا ان نخبركم ان منشي افندي الياهو رويس احد اعضاء هذه اللجنة قد استقال لاسباب صحية
وعليه فنرجو ان تعينوا احداً محله <del>⟦illegible⟧</del> وتبلغ هذه اللجنة بمروره اذا عينتم من يراه البلد عوضه

bution. Our Schools are now dependant on the support which this Committee
