Directorate of Education of Baghdad District Number 1220 Date 12/21/1946 To the administrations of official, private, and foreign schools in the city of Baghdad and all its suburbs The extent to which discipline is ingrained in students appears in the playing fields ⟦...⟧ and its aspects ⟦...⟧ The extent to which discipline is ingrained in students appears in the playing fields Therefore, school students must maintain this decent appearance, and every student must be extremely keen on the school's reputation, and students should know that crossing the field boundaries or the fence or the boundaries set by the body supervising the games is a matter of shame and disgrace like theft, lying, and the like. Accordingly, we alert the students to the necessity of observing the following: 1- Not entering the field at all, even after the game ends. 2- Not using vulgar slang words. 3- Students should not interfere with the course of play in a way that leads to angering any party, such as the referee or the opposing team. Students have absolute freedom in cheering. 4- The playing teams line up after the end of the race or games, then proceed in an orderly fashion to receive the prizes and the cup. In this case, students must be the guardians of order and discipline and prevent the spectators from rushing into the playing field or crossing the separating fence. I hope that the noble students will observe these practical points accurately and be extremely keen on discipline and order, as I have noticed that schools seek to obtain the cup but neglect their commitment to discipline and order. ⟦signature⟧ Director of Baghdad District Education ⟦illegible⟧ 1/7/⟦illegible⟧ p. 3
