Utilizing Frozen Jewish School Buildings
for Educational Purposes
The Ministry of Education submitted a memorandum today
to the Presidency of the Cabinet Office explaining
the continuous demand of citizens to transfer
the right of seizure of the school buildings of the Jewish community
abandoned by their Jewish owners who lost their Iraqi citizenship,
along with the school supplies found in those
buildings, provided that financial transactions
regarding them take place later.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of
Education also wrote to the General Secretariat
for Frozen Assets requesting permission to occupy
some of the frozen buildings abandoned by
their Jewish owners who lost their citizenship,
which are suitable for educational purposes. The
aforementioned ministry requested to be informed as quickly
as possible regarding permission to occupy some of those
buildings and benefit from them before the arrival
of the next academic year.
The Ministry of Education had
formed a specialized committee including three of its employees
for the purpose of inspecting those buildings
and submitting a report on the frozen houses that meet
the required conditions and are suitable

Education after its completion, will also contain information regarding
the work carried out by this directorate during
the last academic year, as well as figures
on the incidents that occurred among students and teachers
of those various institutes and schools.

by the Educational Service Law who was then dismissed from
his job or retired; should
the treatment of such an employee continue at the expense
of the government or at his own expense?

Remainder - Message of the Iraqi Revolution
This enlightened word that landed on the day of the revolutionaries.
Yes, this sacred word is the only goal aimed at by this glorious and blessed revolution, and this independence requires from the men of the country continuous work and effort, and it requires an active constructive positive policy, not a policy of words, drumming and piping, that despised policy whose only purpose is to achieve personal ambitions and goals.
For independence is not granted and its desired goal is achieved thanks to the progress of the country's economy, raising awareness and culture, and strengthening the country's defensive lines, namely the army, and then the support of the people for it. This is not achieved except by the unity of its sons, the gathering of their word, and their dedication to serve the public good.
So whenever a pure policy is followed, free from personal purposes and untainted by any blemish, a policy far removed from interest in formal appearances, a policy aiming at the essence of things rather than their display, aiming to serve the public good through resolute men working with honesty and sincerity.
Yes, the policy of unifying ranks and rallying is what achieves, serves, leads, and results in building the country.
The call for unity, brotherhood, gathering ranks, and moving the country forward to achieve its hopes and providing luxury for its people is the policy called for by our party, the Constitutional Union Party, headed by the venerable leader Nuri Pasha al-Said, supported by an elite of the best men of the country and possessors of thought and knowledge. Among the party's principles is the call for brotherhood, unity, strengthening and arming the army, raising the economic and cultural level of its members, and caring for vocational and agricultural education, then coordinating financial and economic policy between Iraq and the Arab countries.
The party aims first and last at an active constructive reformist policy, far removed from the policy of words. The party has achieved most of its goals and is still doubling its efforts to serve its hopes and support them to achieve all its goals, which are an integral part of the goals of the glorious Iraqi revolution and the completion of achieving full sovereignty for Iraq.
To my brothers and sisters, members of the Constitutional Union Party, we call upon all of you, brothers, to unity and harmony, avoiding favoritism and hatred to unite the word and unify ranks, and to pay no heed to words that mislead you from achieving our precious goals for the advancement of our beloved Iraq and raising it to the ranks of the world's nations as a respected state in the international family.
O Allah, accept from us, have mercy on the martyrs of the Iraqi revolution and our martyrs with Your vast mercy, and take the hands of those working sincerely to serve this nation to achieve what they have set their minds upon.
Long live the King, long live the Regent, long live the Constitutional Union Party, and long live His Excellency President Nuri Pasha al-Said.
Remainder of Iranian Proposals
Thousands of demonstrators the day after the delegation's arrival
The demonstration took place in protest against what was said to be police cruelty during the rioting incidents that took place in Tehran following the arrival of Mr. Harriman, President Truman's envoy, who stayed last week.
Still critical
News reports stated that the situation remains critical in the Iranian capital, however, it appears that the appearance of army forces in large numbers and with speed has prevented the imminent explosion despite the clashes.
Text of the Iranian Proposals
Provided that the British government announces it has received from Ambassador Harriman a communication from its ambassador in London containing the recent Iranian proposals in which it suggested that Britain send its representative to Tehran to settle the oil dispute.
The British Delegation
It was also learned in London that Lord Jet will head the British delegation to Iran, which is expected to head to Tehran within a day or two.
An hour to Shepherd
Mr. Harriman, President Truman's envoy, had handed Mr. Shepherd, the British Ambassador, a memorandum in which the Iranian government expresses its readiness to settle the negotiations. It was said that this memorandum contains the following four points:
(1) That the oil company pay the shareholders the sum of twenty million pounds.
(2) That the oil company recognize the Iranian nationalization law for petroleum and oil, and that this memorandum may include some solutions to the problem of distributing and transporting oil.
The Iranian Parliament protested during yesterday's session of the Iranian Parliament in which the opposition's revolution was renewed, where he said: The cash reserve in the National Bank has run out, which will make it impossible to issue import licenses, while the council was meeting, several thousand demonstrators gathered outside the Parliament building.
Remainder of discussions between the General Secretariat
The new situation that has arisen in Turkey's position after the recent visit of these Jordanian sources may affect the talks that Turkey decided to open regarding the Arab countries and Israel.
Remainder of Kaesong talks
A letter of thanks to Mr. Stephen, the US Secretary of State, for his refusal to comply with the communists' claim regarding the issue of withdrawing foreign forces from Korea in the agenda of the Kaesong talks.
The Council also expressed its belief that the communists would resort to an old Korean preamble once again for the withdrawal of United Nations forces from it.
