We convey to you below a copy of the resolution of the Lay Council taken at its meeting held on 8/25/1949 for your kind information and action accordingly. ⟦illegible⟧ Vice President Copy to - His Excellency the virtuous benefactor Mr. Ezra Menachem Daniel Mr. Eliyahu Hayyim Levy ⟦line⟧ for kind information Mr. Naeem ⟦Zilkha⟧ ⟦line⟧ The Accountant Copy of the Resolution After reviewing the letter of the Hospitals Committee No. 668 dated 6/22/1949 regarding the desire expressed by one of the successful benefactors, His Excellency the benefactor Mr. Ezra Menachem Daniel, to complete the remaining construction costs of the hospital, the Council decided, given that the guardianship of the mentioned endowment belongs to the Lay Council, to authorize Mr. Eliyahu Hayyim Levy and the Vice President of the Lay Council, in their capacity as overseers of the endowment, to receive all documents and sell the bonds deposited for the account of the said endowment, the nominal value of which is 3500/- Dinars, deposited at the Ottoman Bank, provided that they organize a list signed by them as required by the sale, and deposit the proceeds from the sale into the mentioned endowment account at the Ottoman Bank to be spent from it on the construction. ⟦line⟧ 12
