In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Honorable Minister of Justice
Through the Honorable Head of the Jewish Community
After greetings and respect,
Sir, I present my case to your Excellency, seeking your compassion, nobility, and your care for justice and the rule of law, and to look
with an eye of mercy upon my case, which I will briefly explain to your Excellency, and I hope for justice and fairness from your Excellency,
which are among your noble qualities.
Sir: I had submitted a request on 7/19/1977 to the Real Estate Registration Directorate and requested
thereby to be granted a brokerage and follow-up license in the real estate registration departments, as I had been practicing this profession
for a long time under a license I used to hold. The license was withdrawn from me at the time, not for a crime or a violation
I committed, but because I am a member of the Jewish community.
The recent request to grant me the brokerage and follow-up license was rejected for no reason other than also being a
member of the Jewish community. Therefore, I present to your Excellency that I am a citizen who takes great pride in the soil of my beloved homeland
Iraq in particular, and the Arab countries in general. I have no alternative in which to live my life,
and I would not exchange this soil for any other to wrap and hold my body. I have sacrificed to remain in this dear
and precious homeland, and I seek to live in this precious homeland. I hope for your kindness to open the doors of livelihood for us,
as stated in the decisions of the Honorable Revolutionary Command Council. In the past, I was employed in the Department of Telegraph
and Post for approximately 15 years, and I had no pension at that time. Since I was born in 1912, meaning that
my age is 66 years, and I do not have a house in my name, and I am also a family man.
I am full of hope in your mercy, which comes after the mercy of God Almighty, and that you are the protectors of justice and will order
that I be given the opportunity to work in brokerage and follow-up as a means of livelihood.
With great thanks and appreciation, and may you remain [in service].

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Honorable Mr. Saddam Hussein
The Venerable Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council
Through the Honorable Head of the Mosaic Community
Greetings and respect,
I am an Iraqi citizen over eighty years of age. I submit this petition of mine, appealing to
your position for justice, by lifting the seizure on my rental income deposited in my account at Rafidain Bank
(Aqba bin Nafi Square Branch) under account number 1103, which was seized years ago for a reason
unknown to me.
My case presented to your position is that an amount of 180/- dinars per month was allocated to me from my income. If
we subtract 40/- dinars from the amount for the nanny's salary, 140/- dinars per month would remain. And this
is not enough for very necessary living requirements. We are three people, which means that the share of each one
of us is 46/500 dinars per month. We cannot do without the nanny, especially since I need medical
treatment due to my old age, and likewise my wife is elderly, sick, and unable to move.
I am also obligated to pay legal fees and taxes. I am also required to pay the expenses for what the
nanny needs in terms of clothing, food, and all her requirements, as she lives with us permanently and resides with us.
The difference between my income and my allocations, from my total original income, amounts to 38/- dinars per month. Therefore,
I hope for your kindness and sympathy by lifting the seizure on this remainder of my income, which is 38/- dinars
per month. Since my total income is 218/- dinars per month, instead of the 180/- dinars allocated to me
per month.
I ask God Almighty to extend the life of the President of the Republic and your life for the service of this
country and to protect you from all harm.
Please accept my utmost thanks, appreciation, and respect.

Identities

We have been informed by the Directorate of General Nationality of the necessity to surrender the Iraqi nationality retention identities,
cancel these identities, and treat the Jewish individual the same as other citizens.
On this occasion, I offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Director of General Security for his blessed national
and humanitarian step in canceling the Jewish identities. What draws attention is:-
The cancellation of these identities must be circulated to all ministries, stating the reasons that necessitated this cancellation, so that
<del>the Jewish individual</del> especially the relevant ministries, so that the Jewish individual can visit them
without presenting the identity card. As these ministries and departments still demand that he present his identity card.
