His Excellency the Secretary General for the Administration of Frozen Assets, Respected
Greetings,
The renunciation of Iraqi citizenship by many officials and employees in the institutions of this community has led to
disruption in the management of these charitable and health institutions; therefore, it has become necessary to present to Your Excellency the proposed methods
of treatment according to the following points:-
First - The Jewish Slaughterhouse Institution:-
The officials and employees of this institution have renounced their Iraqi citizenship, which results in
the cessation of the slaughter of sheep necessary for the livelihood of the community members, as well as the interruption of the slaughter fee upon which the Community Presidency relies
in conducting its affairs and which it usually gives to the cooks for collection.
The Community Presidency believes that the only remedy for this problem is to authorize it to allow these
officials to continue on daily wages paid to them by the Community Presidency, similar to the employees of some companies who were allowed to do so.
Second - The Provision, Shrouding, and Cemeteries Institution:-
The Community Presidency (since all officials and employees in this institution are among those who renounced their citizenship
and it is impossible for this institution to cease performing its duties), we believe regarding the solution to this problem as well, to authorize the continuation of
these officials and employees on daily wages.
Third - Hospitals:-
These contain a large number of patients whose care and nursing are handled by a number of doctors, nurses,
servants, and others who have renounced Iraqi citizenship, and it is currently difficult to appoint others. This Presidency suggests applying the same remedy
regarding these institutions.
Fourth - Schools:-
The non-payment of salaries to the teachers of the schools belonging to this Presidency who have renounced their Iraqi citizenship
is a matter that results in a large number of students remaining without education, knowing that replacing them at present is not possible, especially considering the school year is
nearing its end; in addition, it is not possible for these employees to remain without salaries until their departure. Since the disruption of
these institutions from performing their duties results in chaos and confusion in vital and necessary matters affecting all the Jews of Baghdad.
The Presidency of this community hopes for approval of the solutions mentioned in the previous paragraphs, which is to allow these officials and employees
to continue performing their duties on daily wages.
Please accept the highest respect

Greetings,
The revocation of Iraqi citizenship from many officials and employees in the institutions of this community has led to
disruption in the course of affairs of these charitable and health institutions. Therefore, it has become necessary to present to Your Excellency the methods of treatment
to be approved according to the following points:
First - The Jewish Hospital Institution:
The officials and employees of this institution have had their Iraqi citizenship revoked, which results in
difficulty in carrying out various departments belonging to the community's administrative body, as well as the interruption of the slaughter tax on which the community presidency relies
to fund its affairs and which is usually given to the community to meet its needs.
The community presidency believes that the only remedy for this problem is ⟦overcoming it⟧ by allowing these
employees to continue on daily wages paid to them by the community presidency, similar to the employees of some companies who were allowed to do so.
Second - The Institution for the Elderly, Blind, and Disabled:
The community presidency (since all officials and employees in this institution are among those whose citizenship was revoked
by virtue of resignation, leading to the cessation of this institution's performance of its duties), we believe regarding the solution to this problem also ⟦overcoming it⟧ by the continuation of
these officials and employees on daily wages.
Third - Dispensaries:
These contain a large number of patients whose care and nursing are handled by a number of doctors, nurses,
servants, and others whose Iraqi citizenship has been revoked, and it is currently impossible to appoint others. This presidency sees the application of the same solution
regarding these institutions.
Fourth - Schools:
The non-payment of salaries to the teachers of the schools belonging to this presidency whose Iraqi citizenship has been revoked
will result in a large number of students remaining without education, knowing that replacing them at present is impossible, especially considering the supervision of the International
Committee over the care. In addition, the remaining of these employees without salaries until their departure is impossible. Since the suspension of
these institutions from performing their duties is a matter that results in chaos and disruption in health and educational matters, even for the public in Baghdad.
The presidency of this community hopes for approval of the solutions mentioned in the previous paragraphs, which is to allow these officials and employees

⟦...⟧ Health
We attach herewith a table with the names and salaries of the employees and workers of the Israeli Slaughterhouse institutions,
the Spiritual Council, and the Preparation and Shrouding Committee affiliated with the presidency of this community whose
Iraqi nationality has been revoked; and since it is not possible to dispense with the services of some of them at the present time
given their experience and the lack of anyone to replace them at the present time, as filling these positions
requires a certain training period; and since the suspension of these institutions from performing their work
would result in chaos and confusion in vital and necessary matters performed for all the Jews of Baghdad,
the presidency of this community requests Your Excellency's approval to pay their salaries, noting that we have
taken the necessary measures to train Iraqis to replace them;
As for the lists of workers in other community institutions, we will submit them to Your Excellency in a subsequent letter.
The community presidency has firm hope that you will include these institutions in your decision No. 526
