Yaakov son of P' Yitzhak and his brothers Meir and David
The aforementioned David wrote a document in the name of all his brothers regarding a debt of fifty-four Francis that the aforementioned Yaakov owes them, and he wrote to him
also with the guarantee of so-and-so and so-and-so, and gave them a mortgage deed on half of his house from the houses they have in Baghdad. After some time, the
lending brothers came to the aforementioned lender and said to him: 'Behold, the mortgage deed for half the house you gave us is worth nothing, for half
of this house is held by so-and-so and so-and-so from their property, and we requested him to vacate the house for us and he refused on the claim that he has a debt.'
The aforementioned Yaakov replied to them under oath and said to them: 'Behold, the mortgage deed I gave you is for half the house I once bought at that
time from so-and-so son of so-and-so, and those houses that are in the hands of so-and-so and so-and-so belong to our brothers Meir and David and are not mine.'
Also, inside the document it is written that he owes him fifty-four Francis that he owes them.
If it be true that half the house he gave them as a guarantee ⟦illegible⟧ is held by so-and-so and so-and-so and is not his,
with whom is the law in this case, where he gave them a mortgage on half a house that is not his?
There is another question, and this is its answer:
Reuven bought land from the government in their courts and gave documents according to law and justice; also in the courts of the gentiles it is written that he bought
in the name of so-and-so and so-and-so, but in the Jewish document it is not mentioned that he bought in the name of so-and-so and so-and-so, only in his own name. After some time, so-and-so
and so-and-so mentioned in the gentile document came to Reuven and said to him: 'Behold, the government document is written in our names, and also
it is written in it that we gave the price of the land to the government, and thus the law is that the land is ours by proof that our names are written in the document.'
To this Reuven replied and said to them: 'The government document was written in your names because you are servants of the government
and are not free men, and had it been in my name in the government courts, there would have been great fear upon us; but I bought it in my name
from my money and the price of the land.'
Answer to the first question, and it is this:
It is a known matter that the aforementioned borrower is obligated to pay them their debt from all that he has, and if he has no other assets besides this house,
and the house is held by so-and-so and so-and-so on a claim of debt, certainly the law is with the aforementioned lenders, that the aforementioned borrower is obligated to pay
them their debt from wherever it may be. And if it is clarified that the house is not his but belongs to his brothers Meir and David, then he is a robber
in that he gave a mortgage on his fellow's assets, for certainly it is not within his power to give a mortgage on his fellow's assets, and the borrower must
pay his debt immediately and compensate the lenders for any damage caused to them because he gave them a mortgage on a house that is not
his, certainly.
Another answer to the second question, and it is this:
It is a known matter that the holders of the government documents, who are so-and-so and so-and-so, cannot claim anything in this, for it is true
that Reuven bought the land in his name, and also in the Jewish document it was written in his name, and what he wrote in their names in the gentile courts
was due to fear of the government, and the price of the land came from Reuven's hand, and so-and-so and so-and-so have no claim in this at all.

And he stretched out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son; and was not Isaac our father already slaughtered? Even if he was not slaughtered, he is considered as if slaughtered.
And even Isaac our father was only awakened from the binding within him, while Abraham our father merited and was elevated through the binding of Isaac our father.
Every single day He shall remember for us the binding of Isaac our father, peace be upon him, and it shall be considered before Him as if the ashes of Isaac our father were heaped and placed upon the altar before Him.
There in that place; and while Abraham our father, peace be upon him, merited and was elevated through the binding of Isaac our father, peace be upon him, and it shall be considered before Him.
For though Isaac was his only and beloved son, and he was obligated to slaughter him by the command of the Name, blessed be He, yet Abraham our father merited and was elevated through the binding.

Behold now we have come to inform the excellence of the honor of his Torah the matter of what was done with us and what was our end
for from the day we traveled from before the excellence of the honor of his Torah, from the 8th day of the month of Nisan, the year 5660, until now
we have seen no rest and no ease and no good, but rather many troubles and evils
that passed over us and over all those accompanying us and also over all the packages and sacks that were with us

Isaac said every day and evening
They said: See that one is not exempt from the business of Torah except for one day a year, and that is Yom Kippur, on which
the Torah was given anew, and on this day there is no business in Torah but in prayer, and on that day Moses came down from the mountain
after the Holy One, Blessed be He, forgave Israel and rejoiced with them on that day.
Rabbi Akiva said: Happy are you, Israel! Before whom do you purify yourselves, and who purifies you? Your Father in Heaven.
And not only this, but every person who returned in repentance on Yom Kippur, his iniquities are atoned for on Yom Kippur,
for this day is a day of pardon and forgiveness for all Israel, and on that day the Torah was given.
And Rav Hisda said: Anyone who engages in Torah is as if he offered a burnt offering, a meal offering, a sin offering, and a guilt offering; and anyone
who engages in Torah needs neither a burnt offering, nor a sin offering, nor a guilt offering, for the Torah is
the Holy Temple, and anyone who engages in Torah is as if he offered a sacrifice in the Holy Temple; and anyone who does not engage in Torah
is not considered a man, for the Torah is the life of a man, and anyone who engages in Torah merits the life of the World to Come
and is written with the perfectly righteous.
May it be Your will, O Lord our God and God of our fathers, that Your Torah be our craft every day and evening,
and may Your Torah be in our mouths and the mouths of our seed and the mouths of our seed's seed from now and forever, Amen, so may it be Your will,
Amen Selah and forever ⟦illegible⟧

And a person should always be careful and diligent at all times and every hour not to sin, and if he sins he should return in repentance immediately and not say tomorrow I will do
repentance, for he does not know what a day may bring forth, and if he dies without repentance, woe to him and woe to his soul and woe to his body.

Hezekiah said in the name of Rabbi Yohanan: What is the meaning of that which is written, 'And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will punish the host of the high heaven on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth' (Isaiah 24:21)? Rabbi Yohanan said: A parable of a king of flesh and blood who has an only son who sinned against him. The king said: 'If I strike my son, he will suffer; and if I do not strike him, he will continue to sin.' The king said: 'I will strike my son's tutor (pedagogue), and my son will see and be afraid.' So said the Holy One, Blessed be He: 'If I strike Israel, they will suffer; and if I do not strike them, they will continue to sin.' The Holy One, Blessed be He, said: 'I will strike the princes of the nations of the world first, and afterwards I will strike them,' as it is said: 'the Lord will punish the host of the high heaven on high,' and afterwards 'and the kings of the earth upon the earth.' What is written after it? 'And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited' (Isaiah 24:22). And it says: 'Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for the Lord of hosts will reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before His elders shall be glory' (Isaiah 24:23). Rabbi Yohanan said: Every place where it is said 'And it came to pass' (Va-yehi), it is nothing other than an expression of distress.

Praise be to God who made the Torah for us a lamp and a light, and by it we are guided in the paths of truth and righteousness, as King David,
peace be upon him, said: 'Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.' And by it we know truth from falsehood, and by it we know the permitted from the forbidden, as said
King Solomon, peace be upon him: 'Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding. For its commerce is better than the commerce of silver, and its profit than fine gold. It is more precious
than pearls, and all your desires cannot compare to it. Length of days is in its right hand; in its left hand are riches and honor. Its ways are ways of pleasantness, and all its paths are peace. It is a tree of life to those who grasp it, and those who support it are happy.'

In the commentary of the Torah (1)
And he already said in the Book of the Torah, which is from God, may He be exalted, by the hand of Moses our Teacher, peace be upon him, in the section of Bereshit, at the beginning of the Torah: 'In the beginning
God created the heavens and the earth.' And the earth was waste and void, and darkness was upon the face of the abyss, and the spirit of God blew upon the face of the waters.
And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided between the light and between the darkness. And God called the light Day,
and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. And God said, 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it be a divider between waters and waters.'
And God made the firmament, and divided between the waters which were under the firmament and between the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament
Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. And God said, 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered to one place, and let the dry land appear'; and it was so.
Praise be to God who made the Torah for us a lamp and a light, and by it we are guided in the paths of truth and righteousness, as King David, peace be upon him, said: 'A lamp to my feet

With the help of God
It is said in the name of our Rabbi Shalom Messas, of blessed memory, and this is the text of the prayer:
May it be Your will before You, O Lord our God and God of our fathers, that this hour be a time of favor and mercy before You, and that You accept
our prayer and answer our petition and hear our cry, and act for the sake of Your great and awesome Name, and act for the sake of Your mercies
which are many, and do not turn us away empty-handed from before You, and send a complete healing to all the sick of Your people Israel, and specifically to the sick [person] [Name] son of [Mother's Name]
among the rest of the sick of Israel, a healing of the soul and a healing of the body, and send them healing and recovery and life and peace,
and fulfill all the requests of our hearts for good and for blessing, and merit us to see the consolation of Zion and the rebuilding of Jerusalem speedily in our days, Amen.
And may it be Your will before You, O Lord our God and God of our fathers, that this hour be a time of favor and mercy before You, and that You accept
Furthermore, I have permission [B.Y.] and this is the text of the prayer written by the famous Rabbi, the pious and humble, our teacher the Rabbi Shalom Mizrachi, of blessed memory,
known as Sharabi, of blessed memory, and he used to pray it every single day, and this is the text of the prayer: May it be Your will before You, O Lord our God
and God of our fathers, that this hour be a time of favor and mercy before You, and that You accept our prayer and answer our petition and hear our cry,
and act for the sake of Your great and awesome Name, and act for the sake of Your many mercies, and do not turn us away empty-handed from before You, and send a complete healing
to all the sick of Your people Israel, and specifically to the sick [person] [Name] son of [Mother's Name] among the rest of the sick of Israel, a healing of the soul and a healing of the body,
and send them healing and recovery and life and peace, and fulfill all the requests of our hearts for good and for blessing, and merit us to see the consolation
of Zion and the rebuilding of Jerusalem speedily in our days, Amen. And may it be Your will before You, O Lord our God and God of our fathers, that this hour be
a time of favor and mercy before You, and that You accept our prayer and answer our petition and hear our cry, and act for the sake of Your Name,
May it be Your will before You, Merciful King full of compassion, that You spare and pity and have mercy on us and on all Your people the House of Israel,
and visit us with a visitation of salvation and mercy, and merit us to see the consolation of Zion and the rebuilding of Jerusalem speedily in our days, Amen.
And hear our prayer and answer our petition, for You hear the prayer of every mouth, and act for the sake of Your great and awesome Name,
and act for the sake of Your many mercies, and do not turn us away empty-handed from before You, and send a complete healing to all the sick of Your people Israel,
among the rest of the sick of Israel, a healing of the soul and a healing of the body, and send them healing and recovery and life and peace.
And so, for everyone who trusts in You, in the great and holy Name ⟦...⟧ by which Isaac and Jacob went out, in Your great kindness, for You
are a helper and supporter and savior to all who take refuge in You, and in Your great and holy Name ⟦...⟧ by which
our fathers went out from Egypt and You split the Red Sea for them and passed them through it on dry land, so may You perform miracles and wonders with us,
and save us from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness and from all kinds of calamities that break out into the world,
and merit us to see the consolation of Zion and the rebuilding of Jerusalem speedily in our days, Amen. And may it be Your will before You, Merciful King,
full of compassion, that You spare and pity and have mercy on us and on all Your people the House of Israel, and visit us with a visitation of salvation,
Furthermore, I have permission [B.Y.] in the Explicit Name ⟦...⟧ by which our fathers went out from Egypt in haste and You split the sea for them,
and passed them through it on dry land, so may You perform miracles and wonders with us and save us from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness.

Forgiveness
Merciful and Gracious, we have sinned before You, have mercy upon us
For the sake of 'And He passed', pass over our transgressions ⟦illegible⟧ and forgive our iniquities, for You are the Master of mercies and forgiveness
And He passed ⟦illegible⟧ and called in the name of the Lord; and the Lord passed before him and called: The Lord, the Lord, God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and cleansing; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance. Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy unto all them that call upon You.
And Moses said to Aaron: Take the censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and lay incense thereon, and carry it quickly unto the congregation, and make atonement for them; for there is wrath gone out from the Lord;
the plague is begun. And Aaron took as Moses spoke, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people; and he put on the incense, and made atonement for the people. And he stood
between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, besides them that died about the matter of Korah. And Aaron returned
unto Moses unto the door of the tent of meeting; and the plague was stayed.
1. A hint I found in this: 'From this altar' (mizeh hamizbe'ach) in Gematria is forty-seven. And so from 'the censer'. 1. 'And Aaron took as Moses spoke, and ran into the midst of the assembly'
in Gematria is one thousand seven hundred and forty-eight. And so 1. 'And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed' in Gematria is one thousand seven hundred
and forty-eight. And so 1. 'Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, besides them that died about the matter of Korah' in Gematria is one thousand seven hundred
and forty-eight. And so 1. 'And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tent of meeting; and the plague was stayed' in Gematria is one thousand seven hundred and forty-eight.
To teach you that all these verses, their power is good to stop the plague. And so I found written in the book Refuah VeChaim in Chapter 1, Sign 10, Page 5, side b, and he wrote there
that one must say these verses every single day in the morning and in the evening with heart's intention, and with the help of the Lord, blessed be He, it will be for him a shield and a refuge from every evil and bad occurrence,
by the merit of Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, Amen, so be His will.
1. Said Abraham, Isaac, and Rebecca, and Rachel, and Leah in Gematria is five hundred and eighty-one. And so 1. 'And Phinehas stood up and prayed, and the plague was stayed'
in Gematria is five hundred and eighty-one. In Gematria is five hundred and eighty-one. And so 1. 'And the Lord said to Moses: Take Phinehas son of Eleazar'
in Gematria is five hundred and eighty-one. And so 1. 'And Moses said to Aaron: Take the censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and lay incense thereon,
and carry it quickly unto the congregation, and make atonement for them' in Gematria is five hundred and eighty-one. Amen, so be His will.
1. Rav Yehuda said in the name of Rav: Anyone who says this verse in the morning and in the evening is assured that he is a son of the World to Come. And these are the verses: Merciful and Gracious, we have sinned
before You, have mercy upon us. For the sake of 'And He passed', pass over our transgressions and forgive our iniquities, for You are the Master of mercies and forgiveness. And the Lord passed before him and called:
The Lord, the Lord, God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and cleansing; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance.
Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy unto all them that call upon You. Amen, so be His will.
By the merit of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Moses and Aaron, Joseph and David and Solomon. Amen, so be His will.
And so, may it be Your will, O Lord our God and God of our fathers, that this hour be an hour of mercy and a time of favor before You, and may our prayer be accepted before You, for You
hear the prayer of every mouth. And may it be Your will before You that You guard Your servant [Name son of Name] from every evil and from every bad occurrence and from every sickness and from every
illness and from every affliction and from every plague. And may it be Your will before You that You send a complete healing to all the sick of Your people Israel, and among them to Your servant [Name son of Name], a healing of the soul
and a healing of the body, a complete healing among the rest of the sick of Israel. And may it be Your will before You that this hour be an hour of mercy and a time of favor before You,
and may our prayer be accepted before You, for You hear the prayer of every mouth. Amen, so be His will, Selah and forever.
And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Amen, so be His will, Selah and forever.

A matter of a beautiful and accepted prayer. And a wonderful and great virtue (segulah)
worthy for every person to say before the prayer. And especially one upon whom troubles have come, may the Merciful save us. And he should be with a broken and contrite heart and his eyes flowing with tears
and he should intend there a holy daughter [or name], not in the heart alone. And before whom he stands. And he shall pray with a whole heart and great intention and he will be desired before our God, blessed be His name
and for the acceptance of his prayer he shall say these verses. And afterwards he shall say a Psalm of David 'The Lord is my light and my salvation' and he shall supplicate before his Creator
and also these are the words of
In the name of the Lord, God of Israel. May it be the will before You, Lord my God and God of my fathers, that this hour be an hour of favor and mercy and a time of favor and a time of fitness
before You, and may my prayer rise before You like a pleasing aroma. And may it rise before You like a burnt offering and like a sacrifice and like a thanksgiving offering. And may my prayer be desired before You like a pleasing aroma
and receive with mercy and with favor my prayer
And may it be the will before You, Lord my God and God of my fathers
that this hour be an hour of favor and mercy and a time of favor and a time of fitness before You. And may it be the will before You, Lord my God and God of my fathers
