Directorate General of Labor
Subject: Employment of Foreigners
Greetings.
With reference to the letter of the Central Region Labor Directorate (Inspection) No. 804 dated 1960/3/27
addressed to your Directorate, a copy of which was sent to us, please note the following:
1- Mr. Amin Mansour Mar'i is of Lebanese nationality and not Iranian as stated in the letter referred to
above. He is a teacher on the permanent staff of our school and was appointed according to the letter of the Directorate General of Education
No. 42875 dated 1952/12/14. We have explained this to you in detail in our letter No. F/59/272
dated 1959/11/23. Please note the attachment to your letter No. 28567 dated 1959/12/20.
2- The administration of this school sent, enclosed with its letter No. F/59/233 dated 1959/10/2,
the employer's license and our request to employ foreigners in our school, and we followed up with our letter No. F/59/280
dated 1959/12/7. Up to the above date, the school administration has not received a response to that.
3- The administration of this school has previously explained to you in its letter No. F/60/46 dated 1960/1/31,
a copy of which was sent to the Ministry of Social Affairs, the necessary reasons that led it to employ foreigners,
and we followed up with our letter No. F/60/74 dated 1960/2/28. Up to the above date, no
response has been received.
4- The foreigners who are on the permanent staff of our school have had their appointments approved by the Ministry
of Education. We, in turn, have submitted applications to your Directorate to grant them work permits, and up to the above date,
no response has been received.
5- Please be kindly informed that we have tried to observe the laws regarding the employment of foreigners as much as possible,
especially after the official authorities notified us of this, and we confirmed our notification with official letters as shown above.
It is no secret that great harm results from leaving students without study in the event of a delay in receiving your approval,
as we are keen on the students' interest and hope that your Directorate will facilitate our school's transactions so that we can
perform our educational mission in the best possible way, especially since our school does not seek material profit
or trade through its work. Note that the Ministry of Education itself employs a large number of
foreign teachers and instructors to fill the many vacancies occurring in the teaching staff.
Please accept our highest respect.
