We wish to refer to our petition numbered 1012 and dated
28 / 6 / 1949 and our memorandum numbered 1060 and dated 17 / 8 / 1949
regarding our exemption from the consumption fees requested by the Presidency of Consumption Control
of Baghdad Province. We wish to assure Your Excellency that the management of Mir
Elias Hospital follows the special instructions regarding the submission of consumption forms according
to the ⟦line⟧ procedures.

decided to be granted to the community employees at Meir Elias Hospital for your kind information. Sincerely.

1- The committee reconsidered its first resolution No. (1) taken on 13 / 2 / 1945 and the second
No. (7) taken at meeting No. (48) on 19 / 1 / 1948 regarding the fee exemptions
decided to be granted to community employees at Meir Elias Hospital for accommodation, surgeries, analyses, and X-rays. After
deliberation on the matter, it was decided to cancel the two aforementioned resolutions and grant allowances as listed below to all
community employees (as well as to persons they are legally obligated to support personally), provided that the full costs of
dispensed medicines are collected from them:-
In the Excellent Class 25% (twenty-five)
In the First Class 50% (fifty)
In the Second Class 75% (seventy-five)

As for the employees of the Jewish health institutions, they are personally entitled (excluding servants) to accommodation
free of charge as follows:-
In the first class for those who receive 15/- Dinars or more
In the second class for those who receive less than 15/- Dinars down to 5/- Dinars
As for the persons they are personally responsible for supporting, they are granted the same rates decided to be granted above to other
employees of the community.
Note:-
This decision shall be implemented as of the first of August 1949.

Naturally, and in implementation by His Eminence, the Head of the Israelite Community ⟦...⟧

Work for a period of six months or more, however, unfortunately, we were faced with some
trees ⟦...⟧ delayed for valid reasons, which are :-
First: The breaking of some wood in the ceilings of several rooms, making living in them ⟦...⟧
The evacuation of the residents on one hand and keeping it vacant throughout this period despite ⟦...⟧
The collapse of a wall onto the private mud, and the entire facade has become in danger ⟦...⟧
Stones falling from under the (balustrades) surface barriers, and these have become ⟦...⟧
sections of them, and it is not hidden from you the danger in this of young ones falling ⟦...⟧
Some columns descending from their bases due to the effect of displacement, as well as ⟦...⟧

Thus, we have approached the hospital administration repeatedly regarding these matters ⟦...⟧
The administration suggested to us to wait on the change until some obstacles disappear
This week, the administration sent builders and they repaired the wall that is on the ⟦...⟧
the successor only and they did not change the wood inside the rooms, which made ⟦...⟧
The six rooms out of a total of thirty-three rooms are vacant despite the return of ⟦...⟧
⟦...⟧ almost a year has passed since our lease and we have not benefited from these rooms ⟦...⟧
⟦...⟧ the number of rooms almost any benefit whatsoever, knowing that there exists ⟦...⟧
