received from you totaling 275/548 Dinars, which we received from the Ottoman Bank according to
the check issued by you to our order under number 445863 and dated 6 / 11 / 957 according to your letter
dated 6 / 11 / 957, and all expenses were spent according to receipts received by the mentioned synagogue committee,
and finally I wish you full health and that the Creator grants you a speedy recovery.

Hayyim, intends to travel outside Iraq; therefore, please order the receipt of the Sifrei Torah, carpets, and furniture belonging
to the aforementioned synagogue which are in the possession of the aforementioned person. We also attach herewith check number (445864)
dated 6/11/1957 drawn on the Rafidain Bank in the amount of 548/275 Dinars belonging to the aforementioned synagogue
which was in my possession. Please respond to this letter of ours, and issue orders for the management of the said synagogue.

that I have arranged with our Mr. Jacob M. Shohet, Baghdad, to
despatch to you 7 cases, each containing 2 sefarims, which left
Baghdad through Messrs. Mohammed Naji El-Khedery Transport vide
their Consignment Note No. D/12 of the 5th instant addressed in
your name. These cases are now in Beirut awaiting onward shipment
to the U.S.A. on the first available steamer. The original B/Lading
will be mailed to you to enable you to clear and take delivery at
your end.
Your cheque for $45.00 was handed to Mr. Shohet and you are
requested to remit to him the balance of $165.75 which covers
packing, transport and other expenses to Beirut. Further expenses
Beirut/N.Y. should be settled at your end.

Mohammed Naji Al-Khudairi transport company under the bill of lading numbered D / 12 and dated the 5th of this month addressed in your name. These
boxes are now in Beirut waiting to be shipped to the United States of America on the first available ship for this
purpose. The original bill of lading will be sent to you by mail so that you can receive the goods on your end.
We have handed over the check sent by you in the amount of $450/- to Mr. Shuahet, and please send him
the balance of $165.75 for other expenses such as packaging fees and transport fees to Beirut. As for the rest

available and I will appreciate very much that you take the
necessary steps immediately for packing them and maybe you will
be able to ship them with the 4 that you are going to ship me
now and please let me know by return mail what are the charges
for packing, I will send it to you immediately.
I will appreciate also if you will be able to send the
Seffer of Haftarot, also let me know what are the packing charges
so we will send it to you.
