After greetings,
The endower Rachel, daughter of Elisha Yamin Sheikh Sassoon, had endowed the house belonging to her located in the Sitt
Hadiya neighborhood in Baghdad, numbered 120 / 28 and sequence 78, for Jewish patients who are in Meer Elias Hospital
according to the conditions in the endowment deed issued by the Court of Personal Status in Baghdad dated July 12, 1933, and number
Information 933/91.
The condition of the trusteeship was stipulated to be for the head of the Jewish community in Baghdad, and after him it passes to whoever succeeds him in this
position, provided that the supervisor of the endowment is her brother Saleh Elisha Yamin Sheikh Sassoon, and after his death, the supervision passes to
the eldest of his male children and his male grandchildren, excluding females.
The endower has passed away, as well as the aforementioned supervisor, and the inheritance distribution decree for the endower was issued on 22 / 12 / 1956
with file number 216 / 956, and likewise the inheritance distribution decree for the supervisor was issued on 7 / 5 / 1951 with personal file number
113 / 951.
Therefore, I request the issuance of a deed assigning the trusteeship of the aforementioned endowment to the Presidency of the Jewish Community in Baghdad and the supervision
to Elisha son of Saleh Elisha Yamin Sheikh Sassoon, who is the eldest of the children of the supervisor, his late father Saleh Elisha mentioned above.
I submit herewith certified copies of the endowment deed and the two inheritance distributions mentioned above.

1- Article 18 of the National Defense Law No. 40 of 1938 exempts from military service
according to a special regulation teachers who hold academic ⟦certificates⟧ in accordance with paragraph (A) of Article
Twenty of the Religious Endowments Schools Regulation No. 35 of 1956.
And as Mr. Najm Ahmad Faqi, who is requested to be appointed to a religious position, is in violation of what was stated above,
he shall be included in the reserve course according to Article Five of the Reserve Service Law No. 74 of 1956.
Therefore, he cannot be appointed unless he completes the reserve course.

Further to our telegram dated 5 / 6 / 1958, we received today your letter numbered 314 dated 27 / 5 / 1958 and its copy
regarding the Development Board's expropriation of the cemetery endowed by the late Khedouri Al-Ani. Based on your request, we answer your
questions:
1 - It is permissible to bury the five bodies designated in your letter in the community's cemetery.
2 - Each one must be buried separately, and naturally, the remains must be placed in a preferred linen bag.
3 - It is desirable that a grave be built for each one.
4 - If none of their relatives attend, it is necessary during their burial that ten people be present, and one of them recites the Kaddish, followed by the recitation of
(Hashkaba) for the soul of each one of them.
5 - There is no objection to processing the bodies in a coffin.
Please specify the day and date of burial to inform their families.
