The honorable Mr. Yaqub Ezra Abdullah, Secretary of the respected Committee
It is not hidden from your Excellency that I, Mikhail Nassoum, am a servant, guard,
and janitor at the Talmud Torah school, and my work is very difficult.
I am poor and my salary is not enough to sustain myself and my children, knowing that
my salary is 3 Dinars per month. I request you to kindly issue your order
to increase my salary, and you shall have a reward from God.

To the Presidency of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Community in Baghdad
Greetings.
Further to the verbal conversation that took place between us regarding the endowment mission of the late (H. E. David)
Please be informed of the following =
First - The school is currently in need of competent teachers in the following subjects.
1 - English Language 2 - Chemistry and Biology 3 - Physics and Mathematics
4 - Commercial lessons in English 5 - Sciences in French.
Second - The number of applicants to join the mission reached fifteen (9 male students and 6 female students)
Upon auditing the school records to review information about these applicants and their qualifications
it was found that they can be classified into three categories as follows.
The first category - These are the students who have sufficient qualifications in terms of certificates to enter
any university in England, including the University of London, without any restriction or condition. They are:
1 - Edward Yaqub Khamara - He has certificates exceeding what the University of London requires, and he also has
knowledge of the French language.
2 - Kalila Yusuf Dangoor - She has certificates exceeding what the University of London requires, and she also
passed an exam in the German language and Logic from the University of London exams. She also has
knowledge of the French language.
3 - Louise Israel Hay - She has certificates qualifying her to enter the University of London, and she also has
knowledge of the French language, typing, and bookkeeping principles. She is ready
to teach in our schools if assigned to do so after completing her higher studies.
4 - Karim Abdullah Shammash - He has certificates qualifying him to enter the University of London and has knowledge
of the French language as well.
5 - Jacqueline Munir Sawdayee - She has certificates qualifying her to enter the University of London, and she also
has knowledge of the French language.
The second category - These are the students who obtained some of the certificates required by the University of London
and recently participated in the exams for the remaining subjects, which, if they pass,
they will complete the necessary conditions to enter the University of London or any other
university in England. They are:-
1 - Abdullah Ibrahim Haroun Tarzi - He participated in the English language exam for the University of
London, and there is a high probability of his success based on his academic level when he was a student
in our school, noting that he is fluent in the French language.
2 - Daoud Nassim Boushan - He recently participated in the English language and French language exams for the University of
London, and the probability of success is high based on his good school performance.

4 - Yaqub Hakham Daoud - His case is similar to that of the student Ibrahim Albert Shlomo Hakham Nassim mentioned
in paragraph (3) above.
Third Category - Includes the rest of the students who do not have sufficient certificates to qualify them for entry
to any university in England.
