Honorable Mr. Anwar Yantob, the respected lawyer
Honorable Mr. Salim Lawi, the respected
Greetings,
The Council has previously decided to allocate forty Dinars ( 40/- Dinars )
monthly to each of you as allowances for your fees in the cases of registering the revocation
of citizenship.
The Council has reconsidered these allowances, but despite its appreciation
for your valuable fees and services, it was unfortunately not possible to increase these allowances
due to the limited resources of the community.
We attach herewith a check for the amount of 24/500 Dinars on the Ottoman Bank
from your allowances for the period from 13 / 3 / 1950 (the day registration began) to the end
of March 1950.

Both our community clerk Mr.
Aboudi Shashi Sweid and the additional clerk Mr.
Latif Saleh have fallen into the management of nationality revocation forms
And therefore, since all clerical work,
typing, and filing of papers
were entrusted to the two aforementioned clerks only, I see
it is very necessary to hire a new clerk experienced
in the tasks related to typing
to train on the work of the Revenue Committee
and others.

His Excellency the President of the Lay Council of the Jewish Community in Baghdad, the Respected
Through His Eminence the President of the Court of the Jewish Community, the Respected
Presented to your Excellency
In view of the admission of Mr. Haqeel Ibrahim Qattan, the clerk of the Court of the Jewish Community in Baghdad, to Meir Elias Hospital for medical treatment, and the resignation of the first clerk, Mr. Munshi Saleh, the aforementioned court was left without a clerk to manage its affairs and its many clerical tasks. This situation forced the court to assign me, as of 10 / 4 / 950, to perform the duties of its first clerk and the court clerk, in addition to my original position as a clerk in the Court of Cassation of the Jewish Community in Baghdad.
I have performed the duties of the two aforementioned clerks alone from the date of my assignment mentioned above until the discharge of the aforementioned court clerk from the hospital on 2 / 5 / 1950, and I continued to perform the work of the court's office alongside the court clerk until a first clerk was appointed for it on 2 / 6 / 950. Therefore, I submit this petition to your esteemed council, hoping you will look upon it with kindness and proposing that I be granted special wages for the duration of my work in the aforementioned court for the period between 10 / 4 / 950 and 4 / 6 / 950.
I offer your Excellency my further thanks and respect.
